Bliss of Blooms 'in Dale by Jo 約定祝福 "Happiness radiates like the fragrance from a flower and draws all good things towards you."
~ Maha Dale is a valley; especially in northern England.

Imagine a valley full of vibrant blooms, it will lift up anyone's mood instantly; bringing a sense of joy and calmness. I'd like to think the same applies to someone who sends flowers as a gift and the one who receives them. Flowers evoke powerful positive emotional responses that can last for days. The presence of flowers will put a true smile on our faces and a warm touch on our hearts. And I'd

like to be that someone you can approach when you need to send someone a message through flowers, be it to show love, gratitude, appreciation, wishes, congratulations or to cheer someone up. Remember, a successful person is not necessarily someone with a lot of money and material goods, but rather someone who is in tune with people and knows how to touch their hearts.

Gladiolus ("Little Sword" in Latin) is actually the traditional 40th wedding anniversary flower and the birth flower for the month of August! As with always, orange version is gifted to communicate well wishes and congratulations, as they symbolise positivity, happiness and friendship. It is known as 劍蘭 in mandarin.

Interestingly, calla lily is not a lily but it is befitting of "calla", a word that means "beauty" in Greek.

Coinciding with this Easter weekend, calla lily symbolises rebirth and resurrection. Hence it's prominent in images that depict Christ's resurrection. For the same reason, calla lily is common in funeral arrangements.

On the other extreme end, it also symbolises devotion and bliss. Hence a popular choice in wedding bouquets. It is also an official bloom to represent 6th wedding anniversary!

On the other hand, tulip is most well known for deep and perfect love. No wonder it's a popular choice for Mother's Day!

Also, tulip is one of the first flowers to bloom in springtime. Thus it signifies rebirth; or starting afresh, and would make an excellent gift to anyone going through some life changes or taking on some new challenges/adventures.

I've incorporated the feel of springtime in my arrangements. Hopefully u felt the same. Happy Easter (weekend)!

"When things change INSIDE you, things change AROUND you."

Do you know that the Ginger Flower represents strength, while the Liatris symbolises joy, bliss, and happiness?

No wonder the latter is one of the highly recommended wedding flower!

Scaling back the rules during this pandemic brings about frustration and probably pain. But let's look on the bright side; the past mould our future, equipped with our experience from the past year, we have much more positive strength this time round to deal with the scale-back.

May all of us find joy, bliss, and happiness in little things every day. 💪

The other time I posted a single stalk of multi-coloured rose. Now, I have a bunch of candy-coloured gypsophilas to soothe your eyes. The photos aren't giving the gypsophilas any credit - they are so much more alive and vibrant to the naked eye.

This is a long overdue post! Just to share my creations for Mid-Autumn Festival 2018, one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals, apart from Chinese New Year and Dragon Boat Festival.

Mid-Autumn Festival falls on 15th day of the 8th lunar month (usually around mid-September on Gregorian calendar) and it is a time for reunion.

I've added rattan balls to the larger arrangement for that symbolism and used hues of the Fall for both creations.
