Spring is here, yet we know that April Showers. So below are four tips for planning an event outside:

1. Weather Check: Plan for contingencies like rain or extreme heat by having tents, umbrellas, or fans on deck. Consider a backup indoor venue, if necessary.

2. Permits and Permissions: This includes permits for parking, noise, and any other regulations specific to your location. Failure to obtain proper permits could result in interruptions or even cancellation of your event, and we don't like that.

3. Comfort is Key: Be sure to provide seating options, shade, and hydration stations, especially if your event is during the day. Consider renting portable toilets if necessary and ensure accessibility for all guests.

4. Plan for Safety: Trust me, having a first aid kit on hand is always good, especially if your event is large or if alcohol will be served. Have a plan in place for emergencies such as medical incidents or severe weather.
