The issue of drug abuse in Tamale, Ghana's Northern Region, is alarming, especially among young people. Tramadol abuse has seen a significant rise, while cannabis and other illicit substances are also widely abused. This has led to addiction, health problems, and social issues.

To address this, GYG's 'Drug Abuse Regional Youth Forum' is an initiative, bringing together major stakeholders, including youth, to deliberate and find lasting solutions is crucial.

The forum is slated in April 2024 which one will be held in Tamale.
