A busy couple of days. The scissor lift arrived yesterday and we put it to work on the heavy stuff.

The glu-lans for the rope, tyres and nets were first - and they’ve found a new home as a tree-house.

Next were the steel uprights for the fun climbs- and they’ll probably get scrapped.

Then, some serious heavy lifting as the box section supports came down to ground. I hate to imagine what these weigh.

The team have worked hard for the last fortnight, but especially so today. A big shout out to Paul for some serious grunt and to Mark for the loan of a 1/2 inch impact driver. M16 bolts are a bit much for my 3/8” drivers!

In September 2007, we decided to buy a mobile climbing wall and it arrived (after a mix up in the port which resulted in an extra leg of the journey to Rotterdam) in May 2008. Ready2climb was born!

2008, 2009 and 2010 were absolutely manic until the financial crash stripped all our customers of their savings. At the same time, we decided to investigate an indoor solution and local company decided to undercut everyone for mobile bookings. They went bust in 2015, but by then we were fully settled indoors or climbing on real rock outdoors. The mobile wall should have been sold in 2019, but we were too busy. 2020 and 2021 speak for themselves and here we are in 2022 and the mobile wall has gone.

Its going to be refurbished and will continue operating for another 15 years for somebody else.

It's starting to look like a warehouse now. Many thanks to Harry for helping with some heavy lifting today.

The end of an era. It was good to see lots of people today to say ‘bye to. The venue is closed, but outdoor pursuits has been part of our lives since we were teenagers, so we’re not finished yet!

We’d like to thank everyone that has supported over the years. It’s been brilliant to climb with you.

The next phase involves a lot of heavy lifting and a closing down sale next weekend

Our Olympic climber is a Mummy!

Our Olympic climber is a Mummy!

On Monday morning we welcomed this little lady into the world. Our lil baba Frankie Feehally is here and we are obsessed.

There’s so much I could and want to say but for now I must thank Ned for being the absolute best. He almost had to deliver the baby alone as everything happened rather quickly but luckily a midwife arrived just in time. 😂

We’re all doing great and loving this magical time.

Huge thanks for all the kindness and support on here throughout my pregnancy and into this journey of motherhood. Big love 💕

It's time to start arranging our grand closing down sale - everything really must go!

As well as lots of climbing equipment - harnesses, helmets, ropes, belay devices, climbing shoes (including some brand new pairs) and karabiners there's also loads of supporting equipment including coffee machine, water boiler, washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum cleaners, tables, chairs, cups, plates, cutlery, notice boards, printers, desks, 2 commercial grade pop up gazebos (6mx3m and 3mx3m) and a very nice 55" Smart TV that we bought to watch the Olympics. Anybody fancy a mobile climbing wall?

There's kids clothing and equipment (including bikes and ski gear) and some commercial quality body zorbs. For the football fans, we've got a football trainer which is great for ball control (whatever that is!) and the golf course is available too. There's even some gym gear - kettlebells, resistance bands, etc. We've collected so much 'stuff' (some may say 'rubbish') over the past 15 years!

If there's anything that grabs your attention, please let us know!

With a heavy heart, we are sorry to announce that ready2climb will be closing for business at 4pm on Sunday 5th June.

It's been a roller-coaster 9 years with BREXIT and COVID-19 both leaving their marks on our journey but we've met and climbed and had adventures with an amazing bunch of people - most of whom we would never have otherwise met. We've seen 'babes in arms' grow into confident young people and we feel privileged to be included in their journey through life. We can only say thank you for allowing us into your lives in this way.

Birthday parties and climbing clubs will continue as planned, and with Half Term and two bank holidays coming up there are plenty of opportunities to get that final climbing 'fix.'

As you can imagine, our staff are distraught and it is their professionalism that will see them through these awkward few weeks. Our staff are the key difference between ready2climb and how the multi-national franchises operate and I would like to publicly thank them for their continued support.
