We have opened up two more spaces on the very popular watercolour class with Richard Crabtree.

The class takes place on a Thursday 10am-12.30pm and is £100 for a six week course.

You will learn about:
🎨Watercolour techniques
🎨Colour, light and shade and texture amongst many other things
🎨Which brushes and paper to use

Subjects include:
Landscapes
Water and the sea
Buildings
Portraits
Wildlife

Suitable for both beginners and those who have painted before.

A quiet spot out on the patio for a morning coffee ☕️

It was a busy weekend here with private parties - a 70th on Saturday and a Christening yesterday. We love hosting these milestone events for you and providing the perfect backdrop for your party.

We’re open again this morning from 9am for freshly brewed coffee and speciality teas.

Don’t forget we have Dawn here at 2.30 with her stretch class. It’s largely chair based workout aimed at those wishing to improve strength and flexibility.

It’s easy to forget how much this place has grown over the past few months.

We wanted to create somewhere everybody feels welcome; from older generations visiting with family, to the new parents coming out the house for the first time looking for a spot to sit and enjoy a coffee.

We introduced clubs and classes; the watercolour class continues to go from strength to strength and we are delighted to now have a collection of Richards paintings for sale.

Each Saturday a group gathers together to run around the local area with our weekly Couch to 5k club and we have a map inside The Talbot with details of all the best local routes to take.

Rome wasn’t built in a day but as a small family business we are so grateful to all the people who come in to visit and enjoy the surroundings of The Talbot each week. It takes a lot of work behind the scenes and on a day to day basis, so we really are thankful to you all.

Weekends at The Talbot.

The perfect way to start your Saturday in the beautiful surroundings of our cosy coffee shop.

We are open until 1pm today and then closed for a private event before opening again in the morning from 9am with plenty of fresh coffee, speciality teas and warm pastries ☕️🥐

We’ve played host to so many gentle celebrations, book launches, product launches and of course memories and farewells this year.

The Talbot really is the perfect place full of history and space. Somewhere you can visit and feel relaxed and at home.

Another fantastic week at The Talbot with various events, classes, clubs and activities to get involved with. From watercolour painting to running, to very special remembrance events, parties and casual get togethers with friends.

Thank you to everybody who visits us and chooses to hold their events with us too.
