A peek at some new work coming to life✨ So many different ideas fused together to land where I’m at, and it was a really cool thought tangent. I’ll have to write a blog post about it soon, but for now, enjoy some early progress shots.

“On My Mind” a collection of small florals - coming this Tuesday🌿
I almost didn’t include this piece in the collection. When I was halfway through, I thought that maybe it was too bold? The other pieces feature smaller, daintier looking florals and this zoomed in magnolia felt. Little out of place. But as I started drawing the leaves, I fell in love with the drama✨ these subtly shifting greens are just SO PRETTY!

And since I had a few people ask about prints, I decided to make the prints available today as well🍋
I took the reference photo for this painting on a trip to Sonoma. A friend and I were wandering around the town square on a day in early May. It was warm, but there was a crisp, cool breeze and the sweet smell of lemon blossoms filled the air. We had no plans - a wonderfully aimless afternoon.
I hope this painting conjures up your own memories of lazy days, cool breezes and the sweetness of spring🌸
I’ve had this photo in my phone for about a year now. I took it on a trip to Sonoma with one of my best friends. It was early May and the weather was absolutely perfect as we strolled around the town square. So this piece reminds me of a crisp breeze on a summer day and the sweet smell of a blossoming lemon tree🍋

“January Roses” available on my site now💚 This piece was painted during a wet, gray winter week when we all longed for the warmth of the sun. I can almost feel that warmth just looking at this painting. The white, hot light brings out this garden’s most vivid greens and causes the white petals to reflect their surrounding colors.
I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed painting it!
These garden paintings are complicated, but when you break it down, it’s really just finding the right shapes and colors to portray the light 💚 It’s such a fun process to piece it all together.
