Being this close to love all the time has slowly changed how I see things. It’s shaped how I think about this work, the way I show up for my couples and what I actually believe matters.
Lately, these thoughts keep coming up for me —
Weddings don’t need to be elaborate to be meaningful. The most meaningful weddings are the ones that aren’t performed for anyone. They’re the ones where everyone is intentionally present.
Being a wedding photographer isn’t romantic, it’s a responsibility.
Some things are expensive because they matter. Not only in the moment, but years from now, when time has done what it always does.
Being a photographer isn’t about creating content. It’s not about portfolios or algorithm’s. It’s about truly seeing people and telling their story through your art, in an honest way.
Some photos are beautiful because they are styled well. It would be almost impossible for someone to take a bad photo in this moment. Other photos are beautiful because they mean something. The second kind only gets more valuable with time. Aesthetic fades, meaning deepens.
SLOW and intentional > everything else. The most beautiful images are created when you forget the clock exists.
The photos that matter most are almost never the loud or the perfectly curated ones. They’re the quiet in-between seconds that no one planned for.
And maybe, most importantly — It’s not the camera. It’s not the location. It’s not the stunning florals or the dream dress, though we love all that too. It’s you feeling safe enough with someone you trust to experience all of this in the most real and honest way.
