In 2015, Maria Micaela Ilagan and Jay Encarnacion decided to put up a group of young people with fresh new ideas w
ho were interested to work for the filipino private events industry in Milan. Their goal was to revamp the debut-style of the times and give it a brand new style : every debut had to have a own story to tell, a one-in-a-million theme, a own selection of songs to make every debut different from the others for each and every client they were going to encounter and work for. Since then, clients interested to have their special events organized by the duo, along with the debuts, started to flourish, because of the passion and the heart Micaela and Jay poured in every event. They started to work with estabilished names in the events industries, from venue owners and caterers, photographers, videographers, event stylists, hair and make-up artists, and started to print their names in the events industry. In 2016, Visions of Excellence became part of the Mister Republika ng Pilipinas - Europe Organization : Maria Micaela became the Managing Director and Jay became the Creative Director and Choreographer. They worked for the brand for its first three editions, from 2016 to 2019, achieving great success. In the same year, in 2016, they were proclaimed, along with MrPE CEO and founder, as the Organization with the Youngest Members in the Filipino Pageant Industry in Milan, as Jay was just 22 years old while Micaela was just 20 years old back then. In 2017, Visions of Excellence has collaborated with Milan’s very own Face of The Year Pageant, in both Kids and Teen Edition. The founder of the brand noticed the capabilities of the duo, so he decided to bring them on the 2017 editions teams and give them a chance of growth. Joining the duo, in December 2019, is Karl Vinzent Bola, one of the numerous dancers people had seen on the stages in Milan. What brought the attention of the tandem Mica-Jay on Karl was his polished dance moves and his persona on stage. That is why they decided to let him join the production team, as a choreographer, for Maria Vheia Malaban’s debut in December 2019. Results were quickly seen, as Karl’s choreographies gained a lot of positive feedback for the team from that night’s guests, making Karl an official choreographer for Visions of Excellence. The experience of planning and organizing a pageant from zero or to work for one established pageant organization, though the hardships and challenges encountered, enriched the tandem with more knowledge on events planning and brought it in Visions of Excellence’s services. The years in the events industry has taught them how to properly organize and manage the events, how to work with service providers, how to communicate and get to know each and every client, because these are all parts of the process of making sure they deliver their clients’ visions of the their event and reach excellence in all aspects of it. Event Planner | Choreographer | Art Director | Host
He is a 27 years old university student taking up Scienze del Turismo e Comunitá Locale at the University of Milan - Bicocca. The drive and the passion for the events, and also for the tourism field, brought him to choose this course. His goal, when he gets the degree, is to work in the events industry on an international and public level. He his not new to the public events scene, as he was the Creative Director and Choreographer for the Filipino-European brand of Mister Republika ng Pilipinas - Europe in the years 2016 and 2019, and the person behind the latest logo of Filipino - Milan based beauty pageant Face of The Year and its Catwalk Manager in the 2017 edition. Being an event planner, choreographer and a graphic designer, brought him personal fullfilment on two different levels : on the creative side, as this craft, in a society where there are very small chances to express oneself’s creativity, requires in fact a lot of creative inputs through the process of planning events, creating choreographies, making layouts and designs ; and on the economical side, as the profession made him, somehow, more economically independent while working in a field where he can express his creativity. “When you work in a field where passion is the first drive to do things, it’s never work”, they say. Event Planner | Director
She is a 25 years old Junior Assistant for a legal consultancy firm in Milan, Italy. She started to approach to the events by helping her mom in organizing her family parties and reunions. This was her stepping stone for her interest to work for the event field to grow and for her to be an event organizer. As mentioned in the history of Visions of Excellence, two were the highlights of her career as an event planner : one was being the Managing Director of Mister Republika ng Pilipinas Europe for three consecutive years, from its very first edition back in 2016 up to its third edition in 2019 ; while the other one was being the Assistant Managing Director for Face of the Year Teens & Kids 2016 edition. Her innate talent for public relations made comfortable every client she has encountered to express their vision of their event and to tell Visions Of Excellence team what they truly want for their event, as she believes that efficient communication and trust between organizers and client are the basis to every successful event. Definitely “creative thinking”, as most of all the event concepts for Visions Of Excellence’s debut and events come from her. She wants every debut to be different from one another, as every debutant is also different from one another … so why sticking to the same style of presenting a debut ? Karl Vinzent Bola ()

He is a 23 year old cool service fast food crew member and the latest and freshest addition to the Visions of Excellence team. Although he may be new in the events scene in Milan, he is definitely a veteran to its stages. Since at a very young age, he has danced on the most renowned stages in Milan for Italy-based Filipino community events, Filipino-owned beauty pageants, concerts and more. And now, he is now one of the gem dancers of one of the best dance crews in Milan, the ACES crew. His first stint as event choreographer with Visions of Excellence was for Maria Vheia Malaban’s debut in December 2019. His choreographies, apart from being impressively executed by her cotillionaires and himself, gained a lot of success from the guests and the audience. That is why Mica and Jay recognized that having him in the team was nothing else than a great addition. But then, pandemic happened and events and debuts got cancelled, so he debuted, once again for Chiara Camilla Guevarra’s debut, two years later, in October 2021, gaining even better results. Innate talent for dancing and creating production numbers and the freshest hip-hop dance routines that will make every debut feel like a must-see dance concert, and of course, his interpersonal skills during rehearsals will make every debutant feel like she’s the new Maja Salvador.
