It’s always a pleasure photographing a great HS Wrestler like Simsbury HS Sophomore Maximus Konopka-2025 190 lbs New England, CT Class L and State Open Champion. These images are from the 2025 New England 190 lbs Finals against East Lyme’s formidable Brayden Soleau. Max has trained for several years along with my son’s at the Empire Wrestling Academy and I always found him to be a nice young man and a phenomenal athlete.

Congratulations Alex on winning the South West Conference Championship at 126 Lbs. Christine and I couldn’t be more proud of you. All the years of hard work starting in the New Milford Greenwave Wrestling youth program, being in the great New Milford High School Wrestling program and training off season at the Empire Wrestling Academy have made all the difference.

One of the great not for profit organizations I support is the Middletown, CT PAL.
The Mission of the Police Activity League of Middletown Inc. is to provide a positive and fun experience through educational, athletic, and recreational programs designed to encourage healthy attitudes and behaviors, while fostering a continued mutual respect for our community. I did these portraits of the officers who were volunteering their time to work with community kids at the PAL facility on Main Street.

An awesome senior night yesterday for our New Milford Greenwave Wrestlers who defeated Bethel HS 66-12. Christine and I are so proud of Alex on his phenomenal year of wrestling. Where did all those years go? Time has really flew right by.

This one of my favorite images of my son Alex who is a High School Senior and is having a great wrestling season. This image is deceptive because his technique looks effortless. However, hidden deep inside are countless hours of practice and physical conditioning. All sports are good for kids, but by far, wrestling is one of the hardest. The difficult practices, conditioning, endless competitions and demanding coaches help prepare a young person for the tough road of life.

I love collaborating with dancers. Jenna had photos done a few years ago and came back to update their portfolio. Jenna was a pleasure to work with and we had a great time during the session.

Christine and I are so proud of Alex for winning the “Most Outstanding Wrestler” award and taking 1st place 126 lbs. division at Danbury’s Ryan Sabbagh Holiday Tournament. Years of hard work, training and physical conditioning have paid off. It’s a wonderful experience to be a part of the New Milford Greenwave Wrestling family. A special thanks to John Degl and his Empire Wrestling Academy coaching staff Jimmy Kaishian, Adam Santoro, Anthony Tortora and Jacob Ferreira all their help.

One of my proudest moments as a father was pinning the Army Military Police Insignia on my son Adam’s uniform. It was a moving ceremonial event highlighting the new rank achieved by these graduating soldiers of Alpha Company 787th Military Police Battalion. My wife Christine and I couldn’t be more proud of him. Thank you to all of our family and friends for their love and support.

“Homeward bound”. The very best Christmas present is our soldier is coming home. After a long 5 months of basic training and Military Police training our son Adam is coming home. Christine and I couldn’t be more proud or happy.

I love shooting weddings for members of our military. Happy Anniversary to the awesome Carter & Jake. One of my favorite places to hike and do photography is at the 556 acre Iona Island bird sanctuary. This special place is located about 1 mile south of the Bear Mountain Bridge on the west bank of the Hudson River and is a winter resting area for bald eagles.

Great fall foliage colors in the Hudson River Valley area. This image was shot by Drone in Garrison, NY looking southwest towards Bear Mountain. This is a gorgeous part of the country that is so close to New York City region.
