Calling all jazz and gospel fans… This week, we have the internationally renowned Vienna based pianist, composer, Lorenzo Bellini, joining us for The Jazz Project at Granby Winter Garden.
🎹 Deeply influenced by New York pianists Mulgrew Miller and Kenny Kirkland, Bellini’s sound blends harmonic depth with melodic clarity and a gospel-infused atmosphere.
In 2021, marking the end of his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA), he released his debut album of original compositions, Love Grain.
After 4 years in the states, Lorenzo received a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music in London (UK), enrolling in the Master’s programme in Jazz Piano.
During this time, has performed with artists such as Tiger Okoshi, Ni Maxine, Dennis Montgomery, Christelle Pascall, and Roberta Gentile.
📝 As an educator, Lorenzo Bellini teaches at The Gospel University, an international institution and learning platform.
This event marks the release of his second album, Source, a breathtaking body of work recorded with his Italian quartet and released by GleAM Records.
Expect a stripped-back performance of extracts from the album followed by an interview, leading into a very special composition workshop. A new format for the event…
