Saw your story about couples so I thought I’d share our story ☺️
At the Big Grove event in Iowa City is where we met. Both of us almost didn’t go but so glad we did!
I walked in, checked in, then went to grab a drink. Scanned the room & saw one guy that I thought was super cute, I even texted my friend who went with me but just sat at the main bar while I was at the event. I picked a spot to sit, then when the guys picked who they wanted to start with he picked me! 🤭
Instantly we hit it off, both looking for the same things, he brought up Religion which is a big thing for me. Wants a family, similar interests, etc. he was basically the one person that I hit it off with the most & was the one guy I was interested in.
After the event we chatted a little bit just to see how it went, paid our tabs. He said he was heading home cause he drove 2 hours. I went to the bar to meet my friend. I grabbed a drink just to tell her about it & chill before the drive home. Then Jon saw me at the bar, grabbed a drink & we talked for over an hour! We ended up just exchanging numbers then ☺️
We parted ways, then went on a date that next Sunday & it went GREAT. We went on multiple other dates since & then on 7/27 he asked me to be his girlfriend ☺️☺️☺️
We both say it just feels too easy, it feels natural & just right. We’ve got 2 hours between us but the effort has been amazing. Communication is unreal. I’ve never felt so secure with someone, heard, comfortable, etc.
We both cannot wait to see what the future holds for us!!
You’re doing amazing work. I’ve told so many people about this & recommend it to EVERYONE. Heck even if you don’t hit it off with someone just the experience alone is unreal. I would definitely do it again if I hadn’t met him. And you get to meet so many people. Heck I wish that the girls could match just as friends because I hit it off with some awesome girls & we all said that would be a cool option just to have more single friends hahah! So thank you again for doing all these events!
