15 months later… we did it!
What started as a five-week MWBE certification class sponsored by the Buffalo Bills, Gilbane Building and Turner, and led by Developments By JEM, turned into a 15-month journey because, well… life be lifeing.
The New York State MWBE certification process is no joke, which makes this accomplishment even more meaningful. Since the program began in July 1988, only about 9,700 businesses have become certified (that’s roughly 250 businesses a year).
Today, I’m proud to share that Half Luna Empanadas is OFFICIALLY a New York State certified MWBE business 🎉🎉🎉
