🎄 For the past 8 years, the Ault family and friends have been creating a Tanner Tree for the Festival of Trees in honor of their sweet baby boy, Tanner Bowen Ault. This tradition helps give back to Primary Children’s Hospital, where the final attempts to save Tanner’s life took place. 💙

Tanner was an old soul who, in his short 3 1/2 years, touched so many lives. His bright blue eyes and charming personality captured the hearts of all who met him. He was his daddy’s little helper, his mom’s snuggle buddy, and his brother’s best friend. Tanner will forever be their Hero in Heaven. They love and miss him more than words can express, leaving a permanent hole in their hearts.

Tanner tragically passed away on April 9, 2016, in an auto-pedestrian accident. Loss is always difficult, but the pain of tragic loss adds layers of grief. As they’ve worked through that pain, they’ve found joy in honoring his life in meaningful ways. Each year, choosing a theme for his tree is a tender experience, and this year, they felt strongly about offering “Comfort in CHRISTmas” to those who may be struggling this holiday season. ✨

For those who haven’t experienced the Festival of Trees, it’s truly magical. Walking into a room filled with beautiful trees and items that honor loved ones and share their stories is so touching. The amazing volunteers and the sense of community make it the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! 🎄❤️

This tree is dedicated to Mia McDonald. Mia’s life may have been short, but her impact was immense. A heart transplant recipient with an infectious smile, Mia’s joy and love lit up every room she entered. Though she passed away during a Make-A-Wish trip, her spirit continues to inspire us all. ❤️✨

For over a decade, Mia’s family has honored her memory by decorating a tree at the Festival of Trees. This special tradition allows them to celebrate Mia’s life and spread love and kindness during the holiday season. 🎄💖

Mia’s legacy lives on through small acts of kindness and compassion. Whether helping a neighbor or offering a helping hand to someone in need, we can all carry Mia’s light forward. 🌟

This tree is dedicated in honor of Joe Torman, beloved of his family and taken too soon from them. Joe was a builder and served as President of Lotus Company. He made great contributions to providing beautiful, affordable housing throughout the State of Utah and beyond. Those lucky enough to know Joe knew of his integrity, kindness, hard work, and sense of humor. 💙💙Joe helped for many years in building projects donated to this festival. He was grateful to Primary Children’s Hospital for helping save his daughter’s life when she was very young.  Joe had a love for Legos and building.

Our Story

Holiday magic abounds thanks to the help of many hands and a generous community. In a 24-hour period, an empty exhibit hall transforms into a holiday winter wonderland of uniquely decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, playhouses, centerpieces, quilts, and gingerbread houses. Shops are filled with dolls, handmade crafts and quilts, freshly baked cookies and candies, an endless assortment of freshly-made fudge, hot scones, and cinnamon rolls.

Funds raised at Festival of Trees are a “A Gift of Love” to children at Primary Children’s Hospital. While the Festival of Trees lasts just four days, the spirit of this holiday tradition continues all year long in the hearts of those who volunteer and give to the Festival of Trees. Most importantly, the magic continues in the children who are cared for at Primary Children's Hospital.

Experience the holiday magic at the Festival of Trees by attending this year's event. Go to www.FestivalofTreesUtah.org to “Get Involved”, register to donate or to buy tickets.
