After listening to community feedback and recognizing the growing demand for more card games, variety, and casual play options, we’ve made the decision to cancel the $5K tournament.

TOUCHDOWN, PIERRE THOMAS!

In Week 3 action, Pierre Thomas powered his way into the end zone with a clutch touchdown against the Buffalo Bills!

Whether catching passes or grinding it out on the ground, Thomas always delivered when the Saints needed him — and this score was no exception. A perfect example of his toughness, vision, and relentless drive.

That touchdown helped keep the momentum rolling and reminded everyone why he was one of the most reliable backs in the game.

The inaugural Mississippi Card Show comes to the Trademart in Jackson on July 19th for a day of athlete and voice actor meet and greets, card and pinball tournaments, and the chance to buy, sell and trade cards with vendors from across the region.

Guests include former Cy Young winner Dwight Gooden, Super Bowl champ Pierre Thomas, Pokemon voice actor Michael Haigney, and wrestling legends Lex Luger and Ron Simmons.

Vans CCG will host a Magic: The Gathering tournament with $5000 in cash prizes as well as Pokemon and Lorcana tournaments.

Southern Tilt pinball will bring dozens of pinball machines, all set to free play, as well as host an IFPA sanctioned pinball tournament.

VXV Events, the promoters of such shows as Mississippi Comic Con and Mississippi Anime Fest, envisions a return of the major card show to the Jackson area. There was a time that card shows drew thousands of people to the capital city, with legends such as Mickey Mantle and Pete Rose appearing as guests. VXV hopes to return card shows to this level, while bringing in special adds such as pinball gaming, voice actors, and many more touches of nostalgia and modern flair.
