MINIMOON anyone?

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with a very relaxing stay at the cosy Pink Cottage NI in Whitehead.

If you are considering a MINIMOON after your wedding this place would be prefect.

Secluded location on the coast, cake and bubbles on arrival, vintage tub with handmade bath salts, cosy bedroom, comfy sofa with throws and a very special secret garden to enjoy. The owners really have thought of every little detail to make your stay amazing.

When you finally step off the treadmill of wedding planning you deserve this amazing wee cottage.

Can you tell I fell in love with the pink cottage NI.

I can’t wait to go back.

We elevated Niamh & Ewan’s bridal tablescape with our beautiful amber wine goblets, gold chargers and terracotta cheesecloth napkins. The colour palette was devine. We love it.

Niamh & Ewan’s Wedding

Welcome to this stunning wedding @ Castlegrove.

It was a bit damp so we brought a splash of colour to the day.

I am calling this one ‘Go Big or Go Home’. I chose bold autumnal colours, rich crushed velvet fabrics, colourful glassware, pumpkins arrangements, coloured and brass candlesticks, gold chargers and terracotta napkins. The brides brief was ‘dark harvest’ and we knocked it out of the park.

Not to forget lots and lots of fabulous pampas grass. The most spectacular pieces from the brides own garden.

Can we take a moment for the wonderful quote that was chosen by the couple for their entrance chalkboard. It was next level and was personal to them. The stunning calligraphy on all the signage was provided by the very talented Jill ‘The Loveleigh Letter Studio’.

Our stunning gold sequinned backdrop made its debut appearance together with the couples own neon sign. Love these words. An amazing spot for some fun photos before dinner.

We incorporated lots of the couple’s own personal decor to make it unique to them.

Wedding Walkthroughs

Had a wonderful afternoon at Castlegrove Country House Hotel today finalising the styling for a wedding next month.

Walkthroughs give a chance to iron out all the last minute details, answer questions and most importantly get all parties on the same page.

As a stylist it gives me the opportunity to re-check all the small details. Each venue will have their own guidelines with regards to decor and it’s always good to ensure that these are double checked.

That’s why you hire a stylist to know all the little details about your venue so you can chill knowing your decor dreams are in good hands.

Had a great time sourcing some unique pieces to add to my inventory at the Decorative Salvage Show. Will have lots of fun creating some stylish vignettes. I always strive to source the most unique props so that your wedding/event will make a statement.

What’s in a name?

I really struggled to find a name for my business. You may wonder why it’s called ‘Pretty Peacock’. I have always loved peacocks as they are such stunningly impressive creatures. They are a bit noisy too but that’s another story.

They also like to show off or ‘peacock’. When I thought about it that really reflected my business. I love to make a statement when it comes to styling. When you choose me I search through my many props and even create a few bespoke items too if need be to bring your vision to life.
