After pouring my heart into our fields this year, I am making the incredibly difficult decision to pause for the remainder of this season.
I’ve dealt with chronic illness since I was a teen & as I grow older, I notice my body asking me for more rest. After some recent health scares, I’m finally choosing to listen.
Farming is a beautiful thing…the process from seed to flower is nothing short of magical to me
but it’s also incredibly demanding and physically tiring to keep up with & thats okay.
I feel proud of what’s grown here & I can rest easy in knowing this isn’t the end but rather a little pause while we reshift our gears.
It’s all a learning game and I have to remind myself that grace is so important while we learn 🌱💗
I’ll still be finding ways to honor my flowers this season and share some of the beauty where I can 🥰 Thank you all for cheering me on & thank you for sticking around while I lay some deeper roots & figure out what next season looks like 🙏

I am obsessed with these Canterbury bells 😍
These overwintered with almost no protection & are quickly becoming a favorite of mine!
They’re incredibly hardy, prolific bloomers, and they smell amazing! Plus - they look gorgeous in an arrangement 💐
They have officially earned their spot on our ‘grow again’ list for fall sowings!

The new annual field is coming along slowly but beautifully! Were making our journey towards regenerative farming this year which is very exciting for a few reasons
-better soil health = better flowers 💐
-better for our health (no plastic or chemicals)
-cheaper & less maintenance over time
I’m still figuring out how I want to lay out our farm but I’m having fun creating for now 🥰 This year is about laying the roots for our farm and pulling inwards to do some deeper work. I’m so excited to have flowers to share this summer (hopefully by the end of june! 🤞) but I’m even more excited to be doing the work now that will make our flower farm even better for future seasons! 😊

By worldly standards, I’m definitely “behind” in the garden this year 🫣—but I’ve been taking time to fill my cup and reconnect with the joy that growing flowers brings me.
I don’t want to live life rushing through every task just so I can cross something off a never-ending to-do list.
This year, I’m intentionally slowing down and letting myself enjoy the process of creation. The flowers will still come —and they’ll still be beautiful! 💐
I can’t wait to show you the garden layout and setup once it’s more pieced together. We’re moving one wheelbarrow at a time but it’s going to be stunning. 🥰

Fall bulbs are finally complete 🙌🥳
Thank GOODNESS because it’s getting chilly & let’s just say that’s not my ideal weather to work in 😆 Im a summer girl through and through. It will be well worth it next spring when these raised beds are bursting with color though 😍🌷

A huge thank you to my partner & FIL for helping me build these boxes ❤️ & to Dublin Farm for the beautiful compost. They’re a pleasure to work with every time 👍

Been taking a short break from social media partly to get some of the ‘not so pretty’ stuff done around the farm 🤪

We’ve been pulling and amending beds, planting our cool weather crops, digging up dahlia tubers & working on our perennial cut flower field 💐

Today was dedicated to building caterpillar tunnels for our cool weather crops! Planting seedlings before Indiana’s harsh winter goes against everything I’ve been taught growing up but there are some very successful farmers that swear by this method. If it all goes to plan, it will certainly be a game changer for our farm!! 🥰 fingers crossed friends 🤞

Nature is so wonderful 💗 I posted a photo of this celosia a while ago & left it to see how big it would get! Well, it got huge!! & has created a beautiful ombré as it’s going to seed 😍 definitely saving seed from this one.

Fall bulb planting is coming up soon which has me so excited for tulip season 🥹🌷🪺
Tulips have always been a personal favorite. We’ve got so many beautiful varieties for next spring I can’t wait to show you guys 💐💗

It feels crazy to be thinking of next springs flowers already but farming is all about planning ahead & getting things into the ground during their optimal planting windows. Tulips love a good freeze before they sprout so fall is perfect for our zone 🌱😋👍

A delivery for a friend to gift to his grandma. I hope she loved it 💐🥰

Just a heads up - next week is the last week to order yourself (or a loved one 💗) a bouquet of fresh flowers from our farm! After that, we will be pulling most of the flowers up & starting to turn our beds over for next seasons flowers! If you’re not able to get a bouquet next week, we’ll be back early next spring with lots of beautiful blooms 🌷🌼🥰
