Yet another crazy music and fun filled night at the amazing Central Bar Gouves last night. Once again I had the pleasure of meeting and entertaining more fantastic music and fun loving people ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
The usual slow build up to ease myself into the set as it was a very not and humid night but as always the pace soon picks up as I work my way through the decades bringing back memories of days gone by ๐
As always my dear friend The Barfly was on hand to heckle and assist with proceedings and once again an audience full of hecklers , chancers , dancers and true romancers..you know who you are ๐ ๐๐
The volunteers section as always is a highlight off my night and once again it didn't disappoint. First up the ladies, and all four and half , were given the inflatable guitars ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ and a Robert Palmer table banging classic it was ( haven't done this one for a while, so why not)
So as the music kicked in, the ladies set off in a standard up and down ass shaking routine ( please be aware that the nice lady from Ballymena had obviously escaped her carer ๐.. she was definitely on medication mad as a hatter but fantastic fun, but a tad handy at skelping me with the guitar ๐๐ฅฐ๐๐ผ๐๐)
The ladies gave a fanf**kintastic display and certainly went hell for leather and gave it everything they had .. Bravo ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ
Next up.. the men , and it was an induction into the fabled Gouves Village People Club for them .
Now I have to say that all of them .. especially the German, Polish and Scouse division certainly gave me a giggle ๐คญ ๐คฃ but they all took their roles to heart and definitely went into full Blue Oyster Club mode for this .. and I'm sure all of them are closet crossdressers back home .. especially the big T
the Scouse chef who's definitely whipped a few cream buns and pounded a few rumpsteaks in his time ๐ ๐
So as the set of in a timely fashion the men gave and absolutely fanf**kintastic YMCA hands in the air like they just didn't care routine and all aided and abetted by a willing and able fantastic audience fanf**kintastic stuff guys you were brilliant ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
After a dip into the 60s time had caught up and it was game over for me , and tbh I was physically and mentally drained but the energy I drew from you gave me what I needed try and deliver a night to remember ( hopefully for the right reasons) ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐
A massive thank you to each and everyone who came last night and took part in whatever way , I humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart ๐ฅฐ
Big shout out to all the mad Scousers who gave me pelters and took it as well .. amazing people ๐ . To the calorie counters anniversary couple I wish you much love happiness and many more yrs together ๐ The midland Wolverhampton croc wearing weirdo ๐.. cmon crocs.. really ๐ ๐. You were brilliant and to the Robbie Williams lovers ( told you , I thought him everything he knows ๐) you were amazing beautiful people and fair play to your son ..Riley I believe What a polite youg man and the Ballymena bonkers bridgade,big shout-out to the Shanty folk singing peeps .
