There's nothing worse than having somebody responsible for the vibe, feel, atmosphere and sound of your party be unapproachable.

We aren't just , we are people-people first. If the people don't connect with you first, they won't connect with the music 2nd. 💯

Dancing THE WHOLE TIME during a party is overrated 🚫🎧 👇

Some of the most important things I've learned as a was in the silence.

For one, although guests want to dance the whole night, they don't they.. 👇

- Talk to their friends/family/bartenders, etc
- Get a drink
- Take a call..
You get the point.

Knowing when and where to play certain sounds and input moods to balance that psychology is one of the most important aspects of being a DJ 💡🎶📈

It doesn't need to be the most spectacular mansion with the most people with the coolest lights and effects.

Sometimes some of the best memories are spent with your closest friends, having a good time to the music you loved growing up and you love now, just unapologetically you.

This was the LAST time I have seen anything like this... 😩 🎵 🕺

The was a HUGE National Show in that was heavily popular in the 70s that put spotlight to black music and culture bringing these revolutionary genres like Soul, Funk, R&B and later hip-hop and disco (as seen from this event I DJed) 😂 🎵

The Actual "Soul Train Line" as seen on this reel is when two lines of dancers/audience members face eachother and either one person or a couple would go down the line performing their best moves. LOTs of street dance styles, trends and cultures BLEW UP from that line‼️

Why Diverse and Unique Events Matter More Than You Think.. 🤔 💃 👇️

- Keeps guests always expecting something different but not knowing what it will be keeps them engaged, active, present, and DANCING.
- Guests are people too, they work, have a routine, similar daily tasks, workload, etc (for the most part). The last thing people want to do is go to a party and still feel at 'work'.
- Makes the event more memorable in the guests life and impactful to their journey.

It takes more to DJ than just cuing up a few songs and learn how to mix and blend. A lot of it is psychology , reading the room, interpersonal/approachable skills, and experience.
