Can't believe that next Friday I'll be at Mumush, curating a sunset set on the open-mouthed psychedelic Gargantua Stage!

I've been performing on that stage twice in the previous editions and each time was magical. The first time was on my first Mumush edition, on 22 August 2022, where I played a chill out & world music set in the afternoon. Second one was last year's oldschool goa trance set blasted in the morning, from 6 to 8 AM.

Wondering what to expect this year from me? It's still a surprise even for me, haha. I'm bringing with me old school and modern tribal, funky, acidic, soul touching, trancendelic pieces of music, which will mingle various music genres and subgenres. 10+ years of intense sound exploration. Deeper and deeper. Light and dark. Power and surrender. Absorbing and integrating. All for the love of music.

This is an important message — please take a moment to read it carefully.

Mumush has always been built differently. We are an independent, volunteer-powered organisation with no corporate sponsorships, supported by the people who believe in the kind of world we’re trying to shape — free, creative, connected.

But even in our forest clearing, we’re not immune to the challenges that face the cultural sector. Festivals across Europe are struggling, and here in Romania, support for grassroots cultural projects like ours remains limited. We’re doing our best to keep Mumush alive and growing — to offer a space that’s thoughtful, welcoming, and high-quality — but sometimes, outside changes affect our small world too.

Yesterday, the Romanian government officially announced a tax increase for cultural events. The VAT rate will rise from 9% to 21% from the 1st of August, 2025. For a small, non-profit event like Mumush, this is a significant shift — one that puts a real strain on the budget that was set last year in October, the production process, and the ability to pay our artists, suppliers and collaborators fairly.

To adapt and ensure the festival remains viable and true to its values, we have to make one difficult decision:
Starting August 1st, the price of the Third Phase ticket will increase from 800 RON to 900 RON. This change is solely to cover the newly imposed tax increase.

🎟️ Until July 31, 23:59 GMT+3, you can still purchase tickets at the original 800 RON price — taxes included.

We never wanted to change our ticket price this close to the festival. But we’re committed to transparency, and to building Mumush with high value on your qualitative experience.

Thank you for understanding, and for continuing to help us build this shared dream, even when the road gets a little tougher. We can’t wait to welcome you on the Mumush land.

Dréa Yang is an avant-garde musical artist from Cluj-Napoca. With roots in the underground scene and a restless hunger for new sounds, Dréa has been DJing and organizing events nationally and internationally since 2019, though her passion for music began at an early age.

Always on the lookout for new tracks and genres, Dréa embodies a life of exploration both in music and in the world around her. As a storyteller and sound collector, Dréa’s sets seamlessly weave together diverse genres and styles, creating an immersive and mind-bending experience for her audience.

She prepared an eclectic musical journey for the BAMF Show @ Black Rhino Radio, as Maica-ta's guest, so buckle up because it will shift your reality and keep you grounded at the same time - enjoy!
