I had the honor of celebrating my 30th birthday at TOY TOY on the 12th of January, alongside two international acts, a stellar local lineup, and of course, the ToyToy family.

To mark this milestone, I've released the recording of that unforgettable night on my SoundCloud page.

With two dance floors open, I decided to pick up the skirt, take the reins, and deliver a deep, emotive, and energetic set that's all about the music, no nonsense. A thank you from me to all of you who support, push, and inspire me.

With my main focus being on production at the minute, the bookings aren't coming in as much as I'd like. So, I am genuinely grateful and put a lot of effort into the ToyToy bookings. Thank you once again. More Life. More Love.

I recently stumbled onto a powerful surfing metaphor.
And It goes as followed:

“The Surfer’s Mentality”. See, because there’s something a surfer understands better about life than most other people see a surfer once they get up on the wave.
But they don’t make the mistake of believing that once they’re up that they’re going to stay there forever when they get up there.
They enjoy it and they ride it as far as they can. But at every moment they realize that that wave is going to crash and that they’re going to fall and maybe another wave is going to crash on top of them.
But they don’t let that get them down because a surfer understands that there’s always more waves coming.
And that is the experience of surfing, trying to get up on the wave, waiting to get up on the next wave, getting ready and being prepared for the waves that crash over you.
And if you can enjoy the entire experience of being alive, the moments that are challenging as much as the highs and understand that they are two parts of the same experience,
then, my friend, you will have won the game.

Life, as of late for most of us, has been dealing some seriously dark and difficult times.
I try my best to allow myself to be present in those dark times, to take it in and reflect.

I take inspiration from a whole bunch of music that I listen to, as I am not a one paged book
Hania Rani has been a long time favorite of mine epically in these dark times.
So I decided to use this "downtime", as I like to call it, as inspiration in my music writing.

It will be a free download on my Soundclound and Bandcamp page as I hope to share my "downtime" with you all and to look forward to the next wave, regardless of the fall.

I am so grateful for the escape and release music has offered me over these past 12 years of being an Audiophile
