Hello, nurse! Well, doctor, actually. I'm so pleased that this costume came together at the last minute. I'm still enjoying taking my time with P5R. But I loved Takemi so much that I knew I wanted to cosplay her at Dragoncon.

I loved Takemi's aesthetic and attitude from the moment I met her in game. She's a great character and I can't wait to see how the remainder of her story plays out. This game has been my entire personality lately.

Wow, actual new pictures of a new costume. Unbelievable XD I had a blast at Dragoncon and one of the highlights was our Chainsaw Man group. It was a serendipitous occassion and we ended up being at the arch for well over an hour. I can't wait for the rest of the photos to come rolling in.
Most of this costume was thrifted which is surprising since I rarely have good luck thrifting pieces for cosplay. The jacket was a cream colored Nike hoodie that I died the appropriate color with a mixture of sapphire and smoky blue from Rit Dyemore.
The wig was a Hera in peach blonde from Epic Cosplay Wigs that I straightened. The 'stray' piece of her bangs was shaped using Got2B freezing spray and held in place with pins until dry. It held up surprisingly well for a pretty breezy day.
The horns .stl is from Porzellan Props and printed on my Ender 3. Painted and sealed with Montana Gold. I will share photos of the shoes later on :) The contacts are from Uniqso.

Hey friends! I haven't updated this page in a while but now that I am making things again, I think I will start sharing more.

I wasn't able to finish new things in time for Momo, so I brought out an old costume that I had almost no professional shots.

It was comforting and stress free going back to an old costume and I was so happy to finally get some great shots of him.

💥Happy N7 Day!💥 Today always holds such a special meaning for me. I don't have any new Mass Effect costumes or content atm but I have so many incredible memories and friends to celebrate with today.
I can't even begin to fully encompass just how much these games have enriched my life and filled my heart over the years. Nor can I deny the huge impact they've had on me.
I am so excited for the next Mass Effect adventure! So please enjoy this ridiculous photo of the time I painted Garrus' markings on my face, which didn't at all take hours...

Cyphacon was a blast! It was such an honor to judge the cosplay contest along side some truly talented artists. I felt very special being counted among them and among the dedicated people who helped make the con happen. They treated me with such kindness and warmth!

The last 2 years have been super rough creatively. I leaned on my other hobbies a lot for my mental health and in doing so, wondered if maybe I should stop making things altogether. I'm glossing over it a bit as it's way more complicated than that and I know we've all been experiencing a fair amount of that since covid started. BUT!! Seeing all the smiling faces this weekend and watching everyone get on stage to accept awards or do their skits reinforced why I love this community so much. It takes a lot to put yourself out there in any form and it made me so happy seeing people believing in themselves. It's really inspiring and it's that kind of thing that really keeps me here.

Thank god for my fiancé Noel who was a table barnacle while I was super busy. I love you! You helped me SO MUCH the whole weekend!! I'm so grateful for all your support

WIP Wednesday! Let's GOOO!!! I finally have all the paper pattern pieces assembled for the soft parts for Bo-Katan! Time to cut out my muslin fabric. I'm using the Sionnach Studios pattern which I purchased from their shop!
I've seen others use this pattern with success so I was eager to try it. I won't be competing in this costume so it'll be nice supporting another maker while not having to pattern this from the ground up!

It was 35 degrees the day we did this shoot in the NC woods and we all got sick after lol but it was worth it. The photos are so rich and beautiful. My armor wasn't as weathered as I would have liked but Jayce's camera work makes everything look so buttery that it didn't matter :)

I am so very honored and excited to be attending Cyphacon next April as a featured guest! I was thrilled when I was asked and heartbroken when covid cancelled everything. 2020 was rough and I lost a lot of my creative drive. It really weighed heavily on me. I am ready to have some new things prepared and can't wait to share my costuming knowledge with everyone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart CyPhaCon for inviting me!

Space Lion Cosplay is a Tennessee based cosplayer and graphic designer. Felicia has been attending cons since 2004 and made her first costume in 2010. From the moment she received her first sewing machine, Felicia worked hard to learn and improve, expanding her skillset to include wig styling, make-up application, patterning, garment construction, leatherworking, armor fabrication, sculpting, molding and casting and more.

It has been a shameful amount of time since I've posted here but I've just been trying to slowly make things again that will hold my interest and keep me feeling fulfilled creatively. I have been wanting to cosplay from My Hero Academia since I finally watched it last year and so I did a Bakugou make up test to see how I felt. I really love how it turned out even though I was pretty nervous that I couldn't pull it off.

I'm really not great with wigs so this one went through a lot of iterations before I was even sorta ok with it. I was worried it was too big but after thinking about total proportions in costume, it's perfect I think! This was my first time styling a fluffy spiked wig (even though it's not suuuper spiked) it was fun and time consuming. I was surprised at the sheer amount of back combing and teasing that needed to be done. I think I did 3 full passes of back combing and some brushing out to get the right texture.

I can't wait to start on the rest of the costume now. I'm thinking I will try to get the boots over with since they will likely be the most annoying part of the costume. Then I will reward myself with the belt harness since it feels like it would be a little more straightforward and less finnicky (no such thing in cosplay, am I right?)

I'm a horrible fan and I haven't seen season 5 or WHM yet so I have some catching up to do! Perfect to do while working!

I finally did a make up test for Liara! This needs a LOT of work and practice. I'm ok with it for not having worn an asari headpiece for yeaarrss. But overall, I want to practice more before Dragoncon.

I think I'll cut the headpiece back about 1/4" on the top of my forehead and 1/8" around my brows to prevent the wrinkling (my forehead is more narrow and flat there so the latex doesn't curve well) so cutting it back a little may help. Also I hadn't eaten and my hands were shaky trying to do her brows 🤣 I didn't bother much with the neck for this test either. My camera had a hard time picking up her freckles and they were pretty prominent in person.

Happy for now, but practice is never a bad thing. Headpiece cast by and painted by me.
