On the way from the only Costco in France, to the historic Normandy coast, we stopped for dinner in this tiny harbor town of HonFleur. While waiting for our chosen dinner house to open, we sat across the way under the orange awnings and each enjoyed our beverages, and the incredible view looking across the harbor.

A side street in Orvieto, Italy, a beautiful and historic old town with an amazing basilica not too far from this spot. Actually, you could walk the whole town in an hour or so. We didn't do that but we did find a small cafe open at the same time we were hungry and sat down. This enthralling scene was just up around the corner. Not a lot of cars driving around these very narrow streets, and this one was adorable. You can see the steps up to the house, hidden behind it, and also see another angle in a photo I used for a 9-photos composite I created, shown in an earlier post. Let me know what you think. Andy

One of my favorites from our first trip to Italy in the fall of 2010. Here, a couple doorways leading to other doorways and upstairs apartments. Did a lot of work to this image over the years to bring out the depth of colors worn into the old Venetian walls. Venice. P.S.....can you find the bear?

Doors of Italy ~ All over Tuscany.
Here is the first of my two 9-door compilations. As noted, I have printed these in three sizes - 16x24, 20x30, and 24x36 on both high-gloss metal and framed canvas with excellent result, and am making them available to interested friends at a reasonable cost. This photo is from a couple summers ago when my wife treated me....well, yeah, she got to go too....to an outdoor show at Maryhill Winery featuring Peter Frampton and Buddy Guy. She found a cute little roadside motel for us before and after the concert and this is a photo I grabbed of her enjoying the distinct Columbia Gorge summer heat. I love seeing her relax! I made a canvas of this and it now hangs in her dental office...so I do get to see it...at least every 6 months!
