Dan Ze Man!!

Introducing Dan Clark – resident DJ, one of the head honchos at Uncle Monty’s and a long-time member of Transformer.
Dan’s relentless pursuit of the perfect beat for the right occasion has earned him a rock-solid reputation on the proverbial wheels of steel. Known for his precision, energy, and impeccable taste, Dan brings the dancefloor to life every time he plays.

As a promoter, Dan ran The Plot Thickens at Sussex Arts Club from 2003 to 2007, an influential night that hosted the very first Transformer gig in 2005. He went on to tour across Europe as Transformer’s DJ, affectionately dubbed “Dan Ze Man”, before becoming a full-fledged member of the group, initially laying down beats, and later on the synths.

Beyond Uncle Monty’s, Dan has played countless house parties and community events, and recently performed for Black Octopus alongside James Zabiela at the Arch, Brighton. This September, he joins the lineup for Coalesce in London, described by Mixmag as “the undisputed kings of the underground.”

Make sure to catch Dan at Field Trip on Saturday night. Expect nothing less than a full-throttle banger of a set.

We're going on a delightful weekend in the countryside!

Introducing Transformer, resident band and head honchos of Uncle Montys. Formed in 2005 in Brighton, they are known for engaging audiences with their energetic, semi-improvised live performances and distinctive sound, blending elements of disco, funk, house, electro, techno, and post-punk.

They have released several EPs and singles and performed in renowned venues and festivals such as Glastonbury, Shambala, Secret Garden Party and Bestival. On tour in Europe at Razzmatazz (Barcelona), Paradiso (Amsterdam) and alongside DJs and artists such as Foals, Metronomy, Peaches, Andrew Weatherall, Annie Mac and Hot Chip as well as being featured on radio and TV including the E4 series, Inbetweeners.

Dapper disco mavericks and the only British band capable of turning any venue they play into a dream version of The Danceteria in 1979. Most 'indie-dance' bands are grooveless fakes who know a trendy DJ. Transformer are the party-hearty, steeped-in-disco, Real Thing." GM

".. billed as "the best unsigned band in Brighton", they might as well be native New Yorkers.. the likes of "Coconut" and "Cinema Car" use an agitated singer, rubber synth loops, hypnotic bass lines, repetitive post-punk guitar attacks and an even a trumpet to get this party started." Yahoo! Music

"Transformer aren't just one of the best dance bands in Brighton, they are one of the best in the country, filtering post-punk New York quirkiness through the sons-of-Daft Punk french electro scene.."" Source

" Transformer played a storming 80’s influenced set to a select audience of young French ex-pats and in-the-know Brightonians. ‘Heartbreak’ got nearly everyone dancing and the long, last number featured a quiff keyboard solo." Latest

We can't wait to play at our very own, first-ever festival !! x

Introducing Seany Clarke- a Brighton-based singer-songwriter known for his warm, inviting sound that fuses folk, soul, jazz, and pop with laid-back swagger and retro-inspired style. Influenced by legends like Curtis Mayfield and Elvis Costello, his earthy music features rhythmic fingerstyle guitar and intimate vocals that explore the richness of human emotion.

His latest album, Think I’ve Said Too Much (released July 11th, 2025), showcases acoustic grooves and introspective, often tongue-in-cheek songwriting. Recorded and produced entirely by Clarke in Brighton, it was preceded by a series of evocative singles tackling themes of lost love, emotional dependence, and jealousy. To celebrate its release, Clarke will be playing an album launch show on July 24th 2025, bringing his new songs to life on stage.

Previous highlights include the 2023 album First Aid Kit and earlier works like Familiar Strangers (2019) and I Can Resist Anything But Temptation (2016), all reflecting his thoughtful engagement with modern life.

Beyond his solo work, Clarke has collaborated as a writer and musician with acts such as Hardkandy and Chungking, and has performed widely across the UK and Europe, from festivals to intimate venues. Praised for his soulful vocals and nuanced storytelling, he continues to deliver a fresh, heartfelt take on 21st-century life.
