“Let the race begin!”

This Kentucky Derby themed Baby Shower took the title!

A Winner’s Circle event with the booking for florals & styling. A special request for a flower horseshoe. I had never made one before-there are no forms for it either. What a fun challenge!

1) Freehand a Kraft paper horseshoe shape

2) Cut form with floral knife

3) Soak in water

4) Create straight rows of carnations. Fill in gaps with spray roses

5) A winning design!

A request for sunflowers for a bridal bouquet. This bride connected with my design style to connect a couple’s story to their wedding florals. My next question was “Tell me the story behind your favorite flower.” S shared that her fiancé plants sunflowers each summer for her. It is a sweet gesture of his love.

Additional details discussed were their colors of blue and white. Their wedding at Proto-Cathedral of St. James the Greater on Valentine’s Day. It delighted me that she was eager to carry a bouquet of my creation.

This holiday winter wedding posed extra dedication to secure her request of sunflowers. But we made it happen. And her reaction upon presentation was so worth it!

My design process included an aha moment of gathered from the garden flowers. Her bouquet was an intentional lush collection of sunflowers, delphinium, sweet peas, garden roses, stock, camomile & pink spray roses for a sweetheart of a day. White silk ribbon to gather this heartfelt bridal bouquet.

Cheers to a beautiful journey together. 🥂

Flower Friday is called that for a reason. We always have fresh blooms for your weekend plans, charming gifts with complimentary gift wrap—and the kettle is ready to share a cup of tea with you.

Fun Fact: we have lollies for all the kiddos that stop by. Why? Because when my boys were little, and a stop at Erickson Farm meant their treat was always a lolly!

This fairytale Wedding Story was pure magic. S & S’s enchanting ceremony & celebration was held at Timberline Lodge. The cottage florals were a story of layered petals, soft and romantic. Cottage roses, unique summer annuals and lavender, a particularly sentimental choice. A stunning bride, ethereal in her timeless gown. A groom befitting his bespoke vest. Sealed with a kiss—they lived happily ever after.
