One thing I love about The Foosic Experience is that I never really know who’s going to be on the other side of the door… and tonight, I met Katie and Rob—a couple who reminded me why I do what I do.
Rob had hoped to surprise Katie with a private culinary experience—but when life shifted and he couldn’t pull it off himself, he made sure she still received her special meal. That’s love in motion.
Now… anyone who really knows me knows animals are not my ministry, okay? So when I pulled up and saw a dog (and later found out there was a cat too), I was just trying to make it inside unbothered and get to work. Mission: dodge the fur babies and prep the vibe!
As I got settled in the kitchen, I asked if they minded music—because you already know I believe every meal needs a soundtrack. Katie said, “Sure! You can even pick a record.” I looked up and saw it—a vinyl wall of dreams. I had been so focused on bypassing the pet patrol that I missed the magic staring me in the face.
I didn’t have much time—dinner was calling—so I reached for The History of Eric Clapton. Because… duh. Music is my love language.
By the end of the night, I left with wave reviews and a full heart. What I didn’t share is that Rob is currently battling cancer. And yet, they still found a way to create beauty, intention, and joy. Not just for each other… but for me too.
Core memory unlocked.
A future vision sparked—maybe one day I’ll have my own vinyl wall.
This is The Foosic Experience.
This is why I love what I do.
