The Dougal’s Christmas Light Display

Every year we get asked questions like.

How long does it take to put all these out and take down?
Took around 4 weeks of mixed days and many hours, setting them up and wiring.
We are 4 days into taking them down, and putting them away. Still a few to go.

Where do you store all these?
We have a huge shed and an attic that’s both filled to the brim with them 😂.

How much does your electricity bill cost?
Hundreds of pounds just for the month of December they switch on.
2023 was £350
2024 was £410
We pay for this ourselves as we love putting them out, it’s a tradition for our family.

However this year (2024). We had a friend/ supporter contribute towards our electricity bill. He didn’t want any recognition for this.

THANK YOU 🙏 to all our supporters/ followers for donating to a great cause.

Mum went and handed the cash donations in to the sick kids hospital. With a combined total from cash and the just giving page.

You guys who donated raised £1257. Amazing support.

Means a lot to our family, for you guys to donate through loving our Christmas lights.

Sunday evening was awesome for our switch on. Had so many people come by.

Gave out 156 selection boxes to kids 🍫.
