To say I’m smitten with these images would be an understatement🩷

A cozy in-home newborn session with this family as they welcomed baby girl into their family. We took things slow, as mama had just had her C-section one week ago. As someone who had a C-section herself, I remember what that felt like, so we made sure to not push her too much. But I’m sure Libby still needed a nice nap after we finished photos😉🫶🏻

Libby told me in her Q+A form that their little boy, David, tends to be shy with new people, but he warmed up to me right away and I had such a fun morning with him! His sister was an absolute angel for photos, and she had the most beautiful blonde hair with white eye lashes!

I think these images beautifully showcase their new life together as a family of 4. Libby, thank you for welcoming me into your home🫶🏻you all are just the best!

Ugh, that light😍and the sweetest little newborn girlie🫶🏻we took our time with this in-home session—little miss had a great night of sleep the night before (YAY) but that meant that all she was in the mood for during pictures was food. And I mean, same, right? Who would want to take pictures when you could have top notch food instead?😉but it was all worth it in the end for these beautiful images of a new family of four🫶🏻

I think every session would instantly become 10x sweeter if grandparents were added to the mix🥹there’s just something about the love they bring that adds a whole new element to family pictures.

They bring a lighthearted, carefree tenderness that comes from being a seasoned parent—who now gets to simply enjoy the kids—without all the added stress that comes with parenthood. Guess that’s why they earn their new title of “grand” with their old title of “parent”😉

I mean, how in the world am I supposed to write a caption to sum up this sweetness?! It’s impossible!!! The sweetest girlie waiting on her baby brother to officially join the family next year🥲She may have taken some time to warm up to the camera, but you’d never know it looking at these!!!

Fall sessions are rolling in and I am *so* glad the autumn colors are finally starting to show up here in Ohio! This must be one of the latest years we’ve ever had those colors show up—and just in time because I have fall minis all weekend!

This family was an absolute joy to work with🫶🏻it was my first time meeting them, and we spent the whole evening chatting and snapping pictures while their 3 pups followed us around. I could have talked to them all night long! Amber, thank you for choosing me to document this precious season you are in with your boys🫶🏻you are an absolute gem of a human!!!❤️

The Henry Family🫶🏻This is year 2 of me working with this bunch, and as I drove home last night after their session, I just felt so grateful. One aspect of my job that I hold near and dear to my heart are the kids I get to work with. Each child is so different, and my heart is always on the hunt to find unique ways to connect with each kid and continue to build their trust during our session. My whole goal is to make them feel seen—whether they are the most outgoing child, the child who prefers to hang back and take it all in, or anywhere inbetween. I truly believe that in making kids—of any age—feel seen, you open the door to allowing their true personality unfold in front of your camera. And that was last night with The Henry six💛

I am having a hard time putting into words how wonderful my evening was with this family last night🫶🏻an evening filled with so much love & laughter with the absolute sweetest kids. Ugh, my heart just feels so full!!!

Their land is just stunning—and it was truly such a pleasure to get to document them in the place they call “home”. I could have talked to Candi (mom) for hours—her love and passion for her babies just radiated in everything she said. They are all so lucky to have her not only as their mama, but as their cheerleader in life🫶🏻

This evening was a special one for me—and although I have sooo many more images to share, this is just a small look into the beauty we created together last night. And I don’t know about you, but I’m sure smitten with these photographs🥰

I have *never* had a client do this before—let me tell you about it. Back in mid-July, Steve (the dad in these photos) reached out to me about scheduling a session for his family. He wanted to surprise his wife with it for their anniversary in August🥲Is that not just THE sweetest thing you’ve ever heard?! I have *never* had a husband reach out wanting to surprise his wife with that gift. So men, take notes!!! Because if Becca (his wife) could chime in on this post, I think she would tell you it was the most special gift she has received🫶🏻

Fast forward to last night, and we finally got to have their family session! And it was just simply perfect. So much love, connection, and joy were shared with this mama and all her boys🫶🏻

Let’s talk NEWBORNS💛When do to them, where to do them, and how to do them!

WHEN: I have my mamas book with me for the month they are due (this works best when you schedule with me early to make sure I have space for you during the month you are due). Then, once baby arrives, my mamas shoot me a text and we get an official date on the calendar for sometime during the next 2 weeks. I find that babies are the most sleepy and content for pictures during that time frame.

WHERE: All of my newborn sessions start at 10 am and I shoot in the rooms in your home that are soaked with natural light! There is a lot of planning that goes into this, so all my mamas get a newborn guide when they book with me to help talk through anything and everything that could help their photos turn out even more beautifully! If you’d prefer to do a newborn session while you are still in the hospital, I also offer Fresh-48 sessions, but I can tell you more about those later🫶🏻or send me a DM!

HOW: You will be in that newborn fog for photos, so your job is just to love on your baby, and I will handle everything else! My newborn sessions are very relaxed, and I work to capture the most simple and love-filled moments you are creating with your new little babe💛
