This past weekend was magical. Grant & Cassidee's wedding at .trentonsc was gorgeous even during the sideways raining thunderstorm, their love shined brightly. Rain or shine, they made decisions to enjoy the day to it's fullest and surrounded by their loved ones and beautiful hues of blue, they said "I do".

We had the joy of visiting Charlotte, NC for this gorgeous engagement session for Jacob and at .
They are the sweetest couple with such a laid back and also joyful vibe. For some context and getting to know them, he proposed in Japan at a beautiful traditional tea house back in November and then we got to meet them back in February. When we met, we learned about them and how they're into a lot of outdoorsy activities as well as reading and F1 and then how they met being neighbors in college 6 years ago. You can almost imagine all of the cute moments they've shared already and we're so excited for their wedding this Fall and getting to tell even more of their love story!

We've been asked a few times recently about what we think of the first look and if it causes the moment at the ceremony to be less emotional. I would say that sometimes we don't see tears at the first look and we do at the ceremony because that moment is more about starting your lives together and it hits some people differently. Sometimes we see tears at both for different reasons but it helps if there's private vows at the first look to really live in that moment but, we almost never see the first look cause someone to not feel the weight of the actual ceremony moment. In other words, we love first looks for a lot of reasons and it doesn't actually take away from the ceremony.

This spring/summer wedding season has probably had more traveling involved than any before and it's really creatively fulfilling to get to adventure and see so many beautiful places with the sweetest couples. In the past few months there's been Vegas, Amicalola falls, Hilton Head, Charlotte and then another destination session coming up June 5th for a bridal session.

Love looks so good on these two bestest bears. Their wedding day rain held off perfectly and the wedding was just gorgeous and felt so joyful and absolutely full of smile and laughter. Excited for Jesse and Amanda and the honor to help share and tell the story of their love.

This was such a fun adventure with Nick & Alea at and it even ended up being perfect weather and not too busy as far as other people visiting at the same time. They're such an amazing couple and we're excited for their wedding day next Summer!

Tomorrow night we fly out to Vegas to photograph these two tying the knot at the little white wedding chapel. In just a few days time, they will be married officially and we're so excited for this week of adventure!
