MAI-KAI RESTORATION FLASHBACK: Two years ago (photo from June 1, 2023), the famous back bar at the Mai-Kai Restaurant and Polynesian Show was a blank canvas, awaiting its reimagination by the design team led by creative director Tom Allsmiller. Today, it's a special place with historic roots, a highly immersive service bar led by beverage director Cory Starr (pictured) and manned by dozens of bar staff. The next you're in the gift shop, take the time to admire the work that went into the space and watch the magic via the special window into the back-of-house.
