Aloha! Here is a world-premiere recording I did last night of George Frediric Handel's Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 1. in Hilo, Hawaii to an outstanding audience. This is such an epic, grandiose piece and I guess the last several months of work paid off! A special thanks to all those involved to make this happen.

Classical guitarist William Jenks will be joined by Flutist Jean Pierre Thoma for an evening of classical guitar on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 7 PM at the Church of the Holy Cross in Hilo Hawaii. The concert is free and open to the public and donations will be accepted which help support the artists and music programs at the church. On the program will be a world-premiere of Handel's Concerto Grosso Op.6 No. 1 arranged as a solo guitar concerto by William Jenks. Also, the program will feature both solo guitar, solo flute, and flute and guitar duos from Villa-Lobos, Luis Milan, John Dowland, Franz Schubert, Francisco Tarrega and more.

This is movement II of Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 1 by George Frederic Handel (1685-1759). I will be playing the complete concerto on July 1st with flutist Jean Pierre Thoma as well as guitar solos and flute and guitar duets. I'm really looking forward to this concert I hope you can make it.

This is Movement IV of Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 1 by George Frideric Handel (1685-1759). I will be playing the complete concerto at my concert this coming Sunday at the Naalehu United Methodist Church on the Big Island of Hawaii. In this version, I arranged it as a solo guitar concerto and this Sunday I will be playing a slightly different version for guitar ensemble and flute.

I'm very excited about my winter Guitar Ensemble Class Rehearsal yesterday that will run through March! Ensemble Class meets every Thursday beginning. There will be several performances at the end of each term. (The cost is $425 per term for 18 hours of instruction alone not including recitals)
