Presented by Breckenridge Brewery and Broken Compass Brewing, beer lovers come together to taste their way through a wide array of samples from local and national Craft Breweries while boogying to some great bluegrass music from Grass It Up, all under the majestic mountains of Breckenridge! Guests will receive a commemorative tasting glass, access to the live music, entertainment and festival activities, and a chance to taste and explore their way through an assortment of beer while learning from the Brewery Ambassadors. Festival food from local vendors will be available for purchase “a la carte” throughout the plaza. We know you will be hooked and will keep coming back for more! The Colorado Bluegrass Festival is one of the most unique festivals in Colorado; the concept is to have 9 bands who perform 3 songs apiece for one epic evening. AND it's in one of our favorite places in Colorado, McAwesome Ranch!

This year's fest was fantastic and the feel-good vibes from these 27 musicians are still reverberating four days later! Here are some photos from that wonderful evening:

“For the first time in Denver, or perhaps even in Colorado (as far as we can tell), we’re having a Bluegrass Music Event for the community modeled loosely after the Fiddlers’ Conventions of North Carolina and Virginia.

It’s a competition for semi-professional bands and individuals for prize money and is open to youth and adults who play the instruments and traditional music of the Appalachian Mountains. This year we’ll have a Bluegrass competition and hope to also include Old Time competition next year.

We’re making this an opportunity for everyone (whether a musician or audience member) to gather and enjoy music, fellowship, food, and activities for children. Bring your lawn chair and come join us to compete or to listen!”
