You know how you feel when you're doing something you absolutely love to do? That fun, warm feeling you get in your soul and your eyes light up? That's how I feel every time I pick up my camera and the reason why I started this company in 2008. Since then, I've documented hundreds of families, engagements, weddings and events and I cannot wait to get to share my passion with you!

Come on out to the open sessions at Loud Acres Farm this Sunday from 1-3:30 to get some fall photos and help support a local cause! I will be donating half of each open session fee to Forest Park Elementary teacher Mrs. Snell’s “Flexible Seating for a Dynamic Learning Environment” to help her reach her goal to create a flexible seating environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and focus. 🤍

📸 Open session cost is $40 and includes 3 unique images with print rights and a private gallery link.

I will be out at the gorgeous Loud Acres Farm (178 Fisher Rd, Crystal Falls) tomorrow from 2-4pm. It will be a beautiful day to traverse their corn maze, pick out your pumpkins, and get some photos taken! 📸 I’ll have a vignette set up for cute fall photos - 3 images with print rights for $40 - no appointment required 🍂 I will also have open sessions next weekend too - Sat. Oct 5 from 2-4 and Sun. Oct 6 from 1-3:30.

🍂Fall Mini Sessions are back this year! In addition to scheduled Mini Sessions, I will also be offering "Open Sessions" with a fall + farm inspired vignette on certain dates and times.🍂

I am SO honored to have been offered the opportunity to hold both of these session types at the gorgeous Loud Acres Farm (178 Fisher Rd, Crystal Falls).

Open Sessions will be captured on a first-come, first served basis and do not require an appointment.

Hello!! Though the page has been quiet for quite some time, I'm officially back to full speed and I am SO excited to announce I'll have three family portrait mini session dates open this year in Iron County! The first mini session date is the 27th of this month - this is a great opportunity to take the family to get portraits while everyone is dressed up for commencement and grad parties or update your extended family portraits while everyone is in town ;)

Hello! I hope this note finds those who read it happy and healthy. 2020 has been a year of change for most of us. For me, the forced slow-down opened my eyes to the unsustainable life I've been living for the past 17 or so years - not only burning the candle at both ends, but rather lighting the whole box on fire at once. Building HLP to the company and following it is today over the past 11 years has brought me immense joy and allowed me to meet and know SO MANY incredible love stories, families, pets, and above all - people.

After I close out my 2020 calendar this fall/honor all existing commitments on my calendar, I am taking a sabbatical until 2022 to focus on health and family. Trust that this decision has not been made lightly (this kind of feels like cutting off a whole part of me), but my heart is telling me I need to slow down for a bit, so I am listening. Knowing me - there is a VERY good chance I'll open up a few 2021 calendar days for mini-session marathons, and of course I will announce it if I do.

I cannot thank you all enough for your understanding of this decision and for your love and support over the years - it has been my greatest honor getting to document the chapters in so many stories. I look forward to coming back with a renewed spirit, a fresh eye, and a healthier version of myself to share with you all

This summer looks and feels a whole lot different than any other summer since I started this company 11 years ago. I had my first and only wedding left on the schedule for 2020 on Saturday, and to say it was perfect falls so far short of the day Jenna and Brandon had. It was filled with the kind of love and joy one can only wish for ... and they deserve every ounce of it. While picking favorites is typically an impossible task for me, this one was truly i m p o s s i b l e for so many reasons. So here are just a few that may tug at your heart strings the way their day did mine. A million congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Aho
