Museums of Brevard 6th Annual Holiday of Historic Homes tickets are on sale!
Taking place the first three weekends in December, you'll experience some of Brevard's loveliest historic homes shining in holiday spirit. Your ticket will gain you admission to four out of the eight participating homes, with the opportunity to visit the other homes for an additional fee. All money raised benefits the participating homes with our historic preservation efforts.

On this day in Rossetter History, Carrie Rossetter died in 1999. A local businesswoman, she worked for Standard Oil as a distributor and took over the contracts that her father left on his death in 1921. She was 101 years old, and worked as a distributor for 62 years. She was the first and only woman to be a distributor with Standard Oil, which later became Chevron USA where she still remained the only woman. She is also the longest single distributor in either of their histories. She was a local philanthropist and donated to many causes such as Holmes Medical, Ascension Catholic Church, the Florida Historical Society, and the Florida Institute of Technology. Her story lives on here at the Historic Rossetter House Museum and Gardens, so call and book a tour to find out more about her remarkable life! Please call 321 254 9855. We are currently closed as we have maintenance done on the Roesch building. Our tentative opening date is October 29th.

We can still do tours however, and if you would like to book a tour, please schedule 24 hours in advance. Tours can be booked through email at [email protected], or calling 321 254 9855. Tours are at 10 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM.

Here we have the cigar humidor used by James Rossetter. It currently sits in the Gentleman's Parlor, where James did much of his business. He also enjoyed relaxing in his parlor, as women were only allowed in by invitation, which likely gave him a quiet minute to enjoy his ci**rs. We just love the pattern on this humidor and hope you do too!
