Happy Earth Day! These three are my most sustainable/eco-friendly/zero-waste coplays! What's your favorite way to keep your cosplays from harming the planet?

Mulan - All this entire cosplay was made from my stash of materials! All the fabrics, the foam for the sword (not pictured), lining, thread, and interfacing were things I did not purchase new. Only new thing was the fan. Plus the shoes are form my normal wardrobe.

Pekoe - All the fabrics were things from my stash! Plus the elastic on the hairbuns was elastic I salvaged from my every day life. Reused the fan from my Mulan 😉

Buttercup - Green fabric was leftovers from my Gardevoir cosplay as I decided to buy my fabric before I made my mockup, lessened learned 😋. Shoes are from my normal wardrobe and I used the tights from my Gardevoir cosplay

Better late than never? I went to ColossalCon North and Twin Cities Con back in November and had a blast! CCN was mostly a working con for me. Friday I doned my 2nd hand Rosalina from Mario Tennis and did a photoshoot. Friday it turns out I forgot my wig for my Waluigi to sell at the Otaku Craft Fair. Which luckily my natural hair totally works fine. Sunday, was Beta Luz in which I use the same wig as a Waluigi so it was a no wig cosplay as well lol.

Twin Cities Con was my vacation Con earlier in the month. I didn't do any photoshoots so I cosplayed just for fun! I went to see all of the Hellaluvaboss and Hazbin Hotel panels and ate my nerd heart out.

As you may have noticed my motivation for posting is very little these days lol. I have a bunch of amazing shoots to share but just haven't gotten around to it. I've been concentrating super hard on my art business () as well as my wig and prop commissions (price increase coming soon!!!). My goal for my cosplay this year is to post once a month, complete and compete in one cosplay for myself, style at least 6 wig commissions, and 3 prop commissions.

Last but not least, I want to thank everyone who has stuck with me on my cosplah journey! Especially when content is sparse at best. I still want to thank everyone for the 1000 follows on Instagram and Facebook! So let me know what are good prize giveaways these days? Please be realistic, I am a small business trying to save money lol. So please answer my poll or let me know in the comments.

Going to 100% just for fun. No artist alley table, no hosting panels, no scheduled photoshoots, no cosplay contest, no complicated cosplay. It's been forever since I did this and also years since I've been to a Minnesota con! Excited to take a break. Catch me at a lot of voice actor panels (Hello Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss!!!) and trying to not go overboard with buying stuff in the vendor hall and artist alley! But if you want to do a impromptu photoshoot hit me up!

Expectations vs. Reality. Been a bit since I made a post but back in September I won my first (and hopefully not last) Best In Show at the cosplay contest with my Meiling cosplay from Cardcaptor Sakura!!! I have some mixed feelings about the win which is why it took me so long to post about it. Would anyone be interested in my elaboration? As per usual I have been busy with the business side of things so cosplay for myself is pretty sparse these days. I will be attending a con soon 100% just for fun soon! That and the 1000 likes/follows giveaway posts will be on the way!!! Thanks for keeping with me on this journey

Great cosplay contests have great MC to announce the wonderful contestants. With that in mind, we're excited to welcome back Sakura Sunset as our MC this year!

Sakura Sunset Cosplay is a local Wisconsin, award-winning cosplayer who has been honing her techniques since summer of 2013. With a variety of skills including wig styling, sewing, prop making, EVA foam and thermplastic arm making, mold making and resin casting, and some special FX makeup, her goal with every cosplay is to learn something new.
