CharaFest 2023 History
On March 22, 2023, just a few days before Tacloban Cosplay Fair: Supermania (March 26), the marketing manager of Robinsons North Tacloban asked the director of Otaku Tacloban Cosplay Host Organization - OTCHO if we could make an event in April 2023 called "CharaFest". The director accepted the invitation, scheduled the meeting for it after Super Mania, and suggested Azurite Productions could join in organizing.
OTCHO and Azurite decided to have two days for the event. The mktg mngr of Rob North and one of the staff of Azu got sick so the event was delayed and rescheduled to June 2023. The two-day event was successfully done. Pics and vids can be found in Azurite and Tacloban Nihongo Matsuri’s page.
On August 2023, we decided to have CharaFest Part 2 making it a one-day event only with the orgs helping each other. OTCHO decided to let Azurite lead as they were still resting from organizing Tacloban Hobbycon then just helped on the planning, recommending exhibitors, contacting blogger Dwaine Woolley and helping in the games of the event. The event transpired on September 2, 2023 being the longest-running cosplay event in a day in Tacloban.
