This week has been filled with editing a lot of football photos, and it couldn’t have come at a better time with our very first Friday night scrimmage kicking off tonight. To these boys and their families, what an honor it is to capture these moments as you step into their LAST FIRST football season.

Wishing you nothing but the best of luck under those Friday night lights. May you savor every play, every cheer, and every moment be one to remember as this year flies by.

I don’t think anything could have prepared me for this one. Before I ever had a photography business, before I ever dreamed photography would be part of my story, I had a little home daycare and the sweetest little models that let me practice on them. And right in the middle of that crew was Baby Shane.

To this day, we still call him Baby Shane, though “baby” doesn’t quite fit anymore when he’s bigger than me. 😅 Sitting down to edit these photos hit me harder than I expected, because it feels like I blinked and that sweet little practice model of mine grew into this amazing young man that is going to do big things.

So grateful I got to capture this full-circle moment with him. This boy will forever be “Baby Shane” in my heart.💙

Updated Editing Schedule & Important Announcements

📅 SESSION AVAILABILITY
— I still have WEEKDAY STUDIO availability between 9 AM – 2 PM.
— Outdoor and evening sessions are COMPLETELY BOOKED for the remainder of the year, but I’m now accepting outdoor bookings for 2026! It's NEVER too early to book an appointment. Some dates, like Spring and Fall, book up a year in advance, but I would recommend contacting me at least 6 months in advance for everything else. Thank you for making this small local business such a success. ❤

My editing turnaround time remains at 2 weeks or less. 😎

🎄 CHRISTMAS MINIS (Tentative, more info to come)
Christmas Mini Sessions will be held as usual this year on the following dates (these dates may change slightly) :

Avery couldn’t just let his brother’s senior photos in the lake (in full football gear, fishy nibbles and all 😂) go unchallenged. Nope, he had to try and outdo him with a little fire, smoke, and a lot of dramatic flair 🔥🏈 (don’t worry, we sent up a quick prayer first).

I’ll forever love that this family never blinks when I suggest my shenanigans, whether it’s lakes, field goals, flames, a little wild fire smoke or heights. They’re always game, and it makes these moments so much more fun to capture.

But as much as we laughed this time, this year is also a little bittersweet. It’s the closing of a chapter with the Arbuckle boys, and what a chapter it’s been, between the football field, basketball courts, and baseball field all the memories we’ll never forget. This family will always hold a special place in my heart. 💙

I love getting to capture the things that are most important and that my seniors have worked so hard for, their family, the game, the memories, and the dedication behind it all. This session was extra special to me, since his sweet momma was one of my best friends back in high school. To make it even better, his little brother came along, rocking the same number on his jersey. He was the first of several football seniors I photographed this week, and he couldn’t have set the bar higher.

This is not a post I thought I’d have to write anytime soon. Turning 40 has been a little rough on me, and after a trip to the ER a few weeks ago, some follow-up heart tests gave us some unexpected and if I am being honest, scary results. In the coming weeks, I’ll be going in for a an ECHO and heart catheterization so we can hopefully get some definitive answers and, hopefully, a clear plan forward.

This does mean I’ll need to take some time off and may be physically a bit more sluggish and a lot more emotional than usual. I will reach out privately to everyone this will affect. I’m going to do everything I can to get everyone rescheduled and taken care of, but I also have to listen to my body and give it the rest it needs to heal.

One of the hardest parts of running your own business is that there’s no one to step in and keep things running when life throws you a curveball. I’m also a big people-pleaser, so the thought of disappointing anyone weighs heavy on me. Please know that I’m doing my very best, and your understanding and grace means more than I can say.

As always, my family and I would be so grateful for your prayers, love, and support. ❤️
