Miami Broward One Carnival Host Committee, Inc., (MBOCHC) complies with Title III – Public Accommodation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). The ADA is a comprehensive federal civil rights law that was enacted by the U.S. The ADA defines a disability as:

A physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities (i.e. working, talking, hearing, s

eeing, caring for one’s self) Having a record of such an impairment
Being regarded by others as having an impairment such as individuals with severe facial scarring. All of our MBOCHCI event venues are wheelchair accessible. MBOCHC is fully committed to accommodating participants and or patrons with disabilities. All of our venues have bathrooms/restroom facilities that are wheelchair accessible and ADA Compliant. If any patron with a defined ADA disability requires assistance, you are asked to kindly identify yourself to any one of the uniformed Board Members;or the Executive Director; or to our on-site Public Relations Department personnel. Our sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Carlton Pierre, who graced the stage at Miami Carnival so many times over the years. A cherished member of One Island Band, Carlton was an amazing person with a remarkable life, and Carlton will live on in our memories. One Island Band’s CEO, Rolando Jarvis, stated: “Carlton was more than just a masquerader—he was a pillar of loyalty, energy, and pure Carnival joy. For years, he graced the road with his infectious spirit, unwavering dedication, and love for the culture. His presence lit up every parade! Though he is no longer with us, his legacy will forever dance in the rhythms of the road.”
