May those affected by conflict soon behold the light of Christ, and be guided back to the path of love, healing, and reconciliation.

Panalangin sa Virgen de las Flores de Pasig

O Mahal na Birheng Maria,
Virgen de las Flores de Pasig,
bulaklak ng kalinisan, pag-ibig, at kagandahan,
kami po’y lumalapit sa iyo na may pusong mapagpakumbaba.

Sa bawat bulaklak na iniaalay sa iyo,
nawa’y magbunga rin sa aming mga puso
ng pananampalataya, pag-asa, at tunay na pag-ibig.
Tulad mo na tumugon ng “oo” sa panawagan ng Diyos,
turuan mo kaming maging bukas-loob sa Kanyang kalooban.

Virgen de las Flores,
Ina ng Pasig at ina ng sangkatauhan,
ipanalangin mo kaming mga anak mo
na lumalakad sa mundong puno ng pagsubok.
Gabayan mo po kami tungo sa kabanalan,
at pagkakaisa bilang isang pamayanan.

Sa gitna ng aming mga suliranin at kaguluhan,
patuloy naming hinihiling ang iyong
pagkalinga, pagdarasal, at pagtuturo
upang kami’y makasunod kay Kristo nang buong tapang at pag-ibig.

Virgen de las Flores de Pasig,
patrona naming mahal,
ipanalangin mo kami ngayon at sa oras ng aming kamatayan. Amen.

MALIGAYANG ARAW NG PASIG!

Today, as Pasig City joyfully celebrates its founding, we raise our hearts in praise to the Lord and in gratitude to His Most Holy Mother—she whose sweet and sacred name continues to guide the ancient plume that writes the unfolding story of our beloved city. We honor the Immaculate Conception, the strength of our forebears, and the radiant hope of the Pasigueños, today and tomorrow.

As one community, let us offer our prayers for our Local Government Officials and for the Bishop of our Diocese. May they be ever filled with the wisdom and courage of the Holy Spirit as they lead us on the path to lasting peace and unity. May the Blessed Mother’s gentleness inspire them to correct with compassion and to shelter with love those who are vulnerable and in need.

Bilang paghahanda sa Dakilang Kapistahan ng Kalinis-linisang Paglilihi sa Mahal na Birheng Maria ngayong Taon ng Hubileyo, kasiya-siya pong ipinababatid ng Abang Lingkod ni Maria na ang Solemneng Pagbibihis sa Mahal na Patrona Coronada, La Inmaculada Concepcion de Pasig ay itinakda sa darating na ika-22 ng Nobyembre 2025.

Ang mga kabuuang detalye ay ipahahayag sa mga susunod na buwan. Inaanyayahan po ang lahat na makiisa at dumalo! Viva la Virgen!

June 27 is the feast day of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, who is known for miracles and answers to prayer. It is associated with a 15th-century Byzantine icon of the Madonna and Child, which is copied in mosaic in the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Chapel in the Basilica.

History of the Devotion
The tradition of Our Mother of Perpetual Help is traced back to 1495. Stolen from a Cretan monastery by a wine merchant a few years after its creation, it was brought to the church of St. Matthew in Rome. For 300 years, it resided at the church, and even survived the church’s destruction by Napoleon’s army in 1798.

88 years later, Pope Pius IX gave the icon to the Redemptorist congregation at the Church of Saint Alphonsus, where it remains today.

Prayer to Our Mother of Perpetual Help

O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke your most powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying.

O Purest Mary, O Sweetest Mary, let thy name henceforth be ever on my lips.

Delay not, O Blessed Lady, to help me whenever I call on you, for, in all my needs, in all my temptations I shall never cease to call on you, ever repeating thy sacred name, Mary, Mary.

O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotion fill my soul when I pronounce your sacred name, or even only think of you.

I thank God for having given you, for my good, so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name.

But I will not be content with merely pronouncing your name: let my love for you prompt me ever to hail you, Mother of Perpetual Help. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, you gave us the eucharist as the memorial of your suffering and death. May our worship of this sacrament of your body and blood help us to experience the salvation you won for us and the peace of the kingdom where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

As we mark the feast of the two greatest hearts, let us take a moment to open our own hearts to the Lord and His Mother, in the flame of trust, obedience, and love. May the Sacred Heart of Jesus grant us the grace of peace, mercy, and protection, and through the purity and intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, may we always continue to propagate the power of God's love for peace in the world and for the conversion of sinners.
