Unfortunately, we have postponed our March 26th event indefinitely due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. We will be sure to contact everyone who has purchased a ticket regarding our cancellation policy and the next steps.⁣

Counting down the days [1️⃣5️⃣ to be exact] until our first event of the season. Yayy! 🎉 ⁣

In case you are new, we were on a bit of a hiatus for a while but we’re back and better than ever! Our first paint and sip event of the year is happening on Thursday, March 26th at at 7 pm.⁣
⁣
We’ll be instructing you through the process of creating a piece inspired by the works of Cauleen Smith which is currently on exhibit at the Whitney! ⁣

We’re not your average paint and sip. Our classes are geared towards contemporary art and specific exhibits that are running during the season that each class occurs. Our March 26th paint and sip event is inspired by Cauleen Smith’s Mutualities at the Whitney. ⁣
⁣
Cauleen Smith (b. 1967) draws on experimental film, non-Western cosmologies, poetry, and science fiction to create works that reflect on memory and Afro-diasporic histories. Mutualities, the artist’s first solo show in New York, presents two of Smith’s films, Sojourner and Pilgrim—each in a newly created installation environment—along with a new group of drawings collectively titled Firespitters. ⁣

Your ticket includes all of the painting supplies such as brushes, paint, canvas’, pencils, palettes, rinse cups and aprons. All you need to bring is your snacks.⁣
⁣
It also includes three 5 oz beers and a seasoned artist instructing you throughout the session while you have a fabulous time!⁣
⁣
