Heyyy Popular People 🥳 POPSTAR PRESENTS: ARTIST OF THE WEEK – meet .syddd

Just.Sydd (she/her/hers) is a multifaceted-songwriter/producer that is constantly evolving. From writing songs in her room at 7 to producing full projects in her college years; music has always been a part of Syd’s life. Born in Washington, DC but raised in North Carolina she is heavily influenced by music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Her musical influences vary from classic rock, soul/rnb to pop and electronic dance music

Upon moving back to DC after college, she began to embark on a music journey. She primarily started off as a rnb singer, putting out songs like “Real Thing” and “Tony”. Had dabbled in hip hop with her song “888” which is about abundance and now focuses on creating dance/house hits like “Party Line” which was released in the summer of 2023.

In 2025, Just.Sydd hopes to put out more “feel good music”. There’s so much going on in the world and to combat life’s challenges, I want to be able to use my music as a tool to help people accept and love themselves full stop.

Well my name is precious but I go by P as in Precious, I am 26 my pronouns are she/her and I am from Baltimore Maryland.

What do I represent? That’s a tricky question part of me feels like I represent what it is to be. Free free of labels free of certain responsibilities, free of these ni**as lol. To say that nothing represents me would not be entirely true. I feel like I represent the small voice in the back of a girls mind that won’t shut up about the dude she likes, or scream that you need when things get tough. I want to embody those feelings that people are afraid to bring to light. Freedom of genres would be what I would like to represent.

My debut album High expectations (with a bunch of features from my well-known and super talented friends) will be releasing on 4/20, I plan on having a blowout album release party to tie everything together and stick with the theme of not only getting high, but escaping the reality that is human emotions and just feeling a sense of euphoria instead. I feel like my project is mostly about being able to separate yourself from the expectations you put on people that will almost always inevitably disappoint you and who wants to feel disappointed lol

I am Knives! 😁 Im a stylist and artist who grew up on the westside of Chicago.
Music has always been one of the biggest parts of my life because growing up I always felt alone and music always made me feel like it were others out there i could relate to.

When i recorded my first couple of songs people kept telling me to take it seriously so here i am learning and trying to better myself when it comes to my craft because i want others to be able to feel how i felt relating to my music.

My goal is to let people know they’re not alone and that they can be their true authentic selves eventually you will find your people who dont judge you or make you feel like you dont belong. Im also going to school for producing so i hope to be able to help others with their sound & craft aswell.

When i first performed i didnt know i was going to be performing but i noticed so many supporters knew the words to my song that wasnt even on youtube yet and that moment will forever warm my heart and motivate me.

I could never thank all the people who support me enough but once i get to where im destined to be im definitely giving back

My name is Maiyapologies and I’m a multidisciplinary artist from West Baltimore, MD. I make music, visual art, and digital media. If I’m not at work I’m usually at a 10Fold event or shoot.

I am on a mission to create more genuine community in the DMV art scene along with my own. I think right now there’s too much individuality and “grind” mindset, and people forget why, how, and who they’re making art for.

I’m currently working on my sophomore album, self-titled MONÉT. I’ve been writing a lot this season! Very excited to share this project as it comes into fruition.
