Hello Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💕

Did you know❓❓❓

🩷 Susan Goodman Komen was a breast cancer patient whose story inspired the creation of the foundation. At age 33, she was diagnosed with breast cancer after a doctor found a lump in her breast. She underwent surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, but died from complications from the cancer in 1980 at the age of 36.

🩷 The foundation's mission is to end breast cancer as a life-threatening disease through research, education, screening, and treatment.

🩷 The foundation has helped reduce breast cancer mortality by more than 42%, approved 19 new drugs for breast cancer in the past decade, and invested nearly $3.6 billion in research, community health outreach, advocacy, and programs in more than 60 countries.
