It’s Story Time!
Out of a deep dark place of hurt and insecurity, a talent was found and developed. This talent then lead to the creation of something new, something fresh, something that mixes the old, with the new. A project of sorts...The Petal Project
So I'm Christopher but everyone calls me Chris. I'm the owner of The Petal Project and this how it all started.
So I’m actually an IT Technician who just happened into the floral industry by chance while helping out a friend. It’s been a long road developing customer service skills as well as floral skills and learning the ropes of how a flower shop works.
The Petal Project was born out of me being in a dark place and became a passion project. It was in the works for a while before the universe literally pushed me into the deep and said “you can swim now”. It took a long while to learn how to do arrangements, but I did have one of the best teachers. Three in fact.
I eventually went on to mass producing for an event, and tried my hand at a wreath. And even did centrepieces for a baby shower.
And then came the setting up of the studio where the good stuff happens. My brother actually came up with the name “The Petal Project”. We’ve accomplished so much and everyday gets better. We’ve had a few hiccups but who doesn’t.
And then there was the very first Valentine’s Day. The response was overwhelming, reassuring, and encouraging. Amidst the chaos, came a sense of validation. And the ability to build so many arrangements in such a short space of time.
The Climax
Covid-19 put a damper on all the excitement we had for our very first Mother's Day. Through some careful consideration we filled a few orders for this occasion while getting some much needed clarity on where this venture was headed.
The Big Reveal
Through our teething phase, we needed our brand to be an extension of who we are. Something clean, effective, happy, and practical. So we had a facelift.
Some of you may have noticed the subtle changes, but here is the big reveal, with our new logo and image.
The Petal Project is now The Petal Pro.
The same high-quality, customisable and afforadable flowers, just with a new look.
