Chameleon Café Chameleon Café loves spinning for a variety of events including partner dance, Burning Man, camping

Chameleon Café is enthralled by the art of telling stories through music and reading the room to take people on journeys of sound. The name comes from a play on her name, Camille, with the ability to transform depending on the environment. Café is both an environment with an ambiance and a place that energizes. Her tastes are eclectic out of a love for music, such as EDM, down tempo, classical and

classics, 80’s, 90’s, pop, hip hop, country, and more obscure genres. She is a dancer and enjoys the energy of seeing people get on their feet and move. She’s taken dance classes mainly in Brazilian Zouk, Swing, Blues, Bachata, Fusion, Hip Hop, and Funk Fusion. She grew up playing the piano, adding to her ability to create unique soundscapes. She is enthusiastic about spinning for a variety of events including partner dance, Burning Man, camping events, weddings, and corporate events.

I DJed in January at FreezerBurn Texas with High Noon for the third time. Did you know I‘ve been low-key DJing since last summer? It’s a passion, and many people are a part of that journey. High Noon has a special place since we connected over our appreciation of similar and novel styles of music and love of dancing. I met them the first time I played out. Tripp found me playing and complimented me on how I drop beats, then when it came up that I was kinda from Atlanta too, he said, “I knew it!” Sometimes you put the pieces together and you just know things. I also included pics from the other times I’ve played with High Noon at a summer campout and Myschievia.

After an extended hiatus from actual DJing (from focusing on massage/spa music and home/car music), I hopped back on the bike to play at Flipside at the Yayborhood. Here’s the sunrise part. It felt great and it’s in my veins again. A transition here and there was rough (haha, go figure), so I made playlists. Spotify has the originals and SoundCloud has a few remixes as they’re different mediums. The Go+ ones on SC don’t play unless you have a subscription, so I avoided those where I could. Stay tuned and follow my accounts if you want and I’ll post more old and new things.

A rant on remixes: I’m a huge fan of remixes and covers. It’s just that sometimes the original is perfected so well that anything else just ruins it. Like I looked through everything for “Never Forget You” by Zara Larsson years ago and just found disappointment, but the CHENDA remix of “Lose You to Love Me” by Selena Gomez elevates a pop song to a new level.

Played some tunes at Trois Estate at Enchanted Rock. The bed and breakfast retreat has a view of Enchanted Rock, a chapel that leads to a grotto with a pool, and the best pizza I’ve ever had.

This is from a family-friendly silent disco with Silent Disco Vibe / Limitless Lights and Sound in Houston. People went crazy over Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" and started singing while watching a local game.
