Four. Years. Later (in the SpongeBob voice)😉
8/9 ~ Celebrated 4 years of marriage on Wednesday with my love
We said in our vows that this would be OUR greatest adventure, and in all of our years of growing up together, this journey of being your partner and wife has been filled with so much of that promise and more life and human experience than I ever could have imagined.
We’ve been through the for better or worse time and time again- what I imagine many experience over the course of a lifetime in a very condensed wave; A pandemic through our first few years, and then relearning life after, relocating homes - states - jobs, new careers and life experiences, trauma and loss, living with friends and having an adult version of college, growing all over again far away from where we grew up, traveling to some of the coolest places to capture love stories for others, feeling homesick, healing our inner children, learning our priorities and goals in life, starting over again and again and again.
No matter what, we’ve always been there (trying our best) dancing together through all of life’s mountains; and what a wild unparalleled beautiful existence it has been. As one of our closest friends said recently, “ You are better human beings because of your own souls, but also because of one another and the ways you have encouraged and held space for the other to grow and become your most truest selves”
I don’t know what great adventures the future holds for us, but I am proud of all of our versions of us and the ones we’ll become. I do know that you have made our many chapters of life together the very best and I am so grateful for YOU and your unconditional love as we continue growing.
