Bakewell Platinum Jubilee Upto date Information on the events to celebrate The Queens Platinum Jubilee here in Bakewell

Well, what an event, and apart from the weather, what a great weekend.
Our local voluntary organisations who were involved all had a payment from the QPJ and we, the organisers, still have some of the snoods - great for cyclists, walkers etc, T shirts with the QPJ logo, and mugs with a picture of the Queen in 1952 and again in 2022, celebrating her platinum jubilee.
If you want any, message me or call into the Bakewell pet shop or look in the poppy shop in the aracde.
It's the sale of these T shirts, mugs and snoods that enabled us to run this event, they are all limited runs and will not be re-printed or re-done so when they are gone - they are gone!!

From 3:00 Come along, bring your picnics, your bunting and your fabulous cheer let's make it a great one, if you're street party is going to be cancelled..... Relocate here..... No need for plans and money spent to be wasted! The farmers feast bar is open, Sunday Carverys till 2pm!

If you could have these saved on your phone or print and bring that would be good as we are limiting a print to 30 to prevent wastage. For those wanting info on the car parking etc, set your SatNav for DE45 1AH and follow the signs for the Agricultural Business Centre. There will be extra parking available on the Bakewell showground.
The Toilets will also be open at the ABC for the convenience of the visitor..

The Queens platinum jubilee beacon will be lit for 2115 Thursday. the beacon will be visible in Scots meadow, and also from Holme lane and Baslow rd.
2 pictures, one shows the size of the beacon, the second is a view from Baslow rd with the beacon in the middle of the picture in the distance - you can see the footpath through Scots meadow.

All you have to do is pick up an Answer Sheets on sale (£1) at these locations:-
1)The Visitors Centre,Market Place
2)Bakewell Gift & Bear Shop, Matlock Street 3) Cake Corner, Pig Market, Buxton Road 4) Bakewell Pet Supplies, Water Street or 5) Mad 4 Ink, Granby Road.
Then tour town writing down the locations of each of the crown's on your answer form. Once complete you can be entered into a draw to win £70!!
