The shop is looking and smelling HEAVENLY ready for the weekend and Padiham street market tomorrow. We are open at the shop 11-4 today and at the shop and street market 09:30-3:30 tomorrow!

Let’s tell you a little bit about our namesake..

Ernie is named after my lovely Grandad (who we called Bompa). He had a huge love and respect for everything blooming. He grew lots of cut flowers in his garden and fruit and vegetables in his greenhouse. He used to tell me off for picking flowers saying they belonged where they grew, maybe he wouldn’t be too happy about this job then 😅

When you come into the shop you’ll see this lovely restored photo of him up on the wall, tending to his garden. We lost him to Vascular Dementia in 2013 aged 88 and is behind our choice of charity of the month for our first month being Alzheimer’s Society in his memory.

His love and care for all things blooming will always inspire us whilst we create your flowery orders and his legacy will always live on at Ernie’s 🌻
