Those of you who attended LPF Celebrity Concert in May will know that Cally Beaton is indeed the hostest with the mostest. Hilarious, insightful and on the nail about middle age issues, any time spent in her company is life enhancing. And she's heading back to Ludlow in September with her own show.....

Namaste Motherf*ckers is the new show from Cally Beaton (QI, Live at the Apollo) - a quick-witted, unexpected and unapologetic insight into life in midlife. Combining Cally’s comedic and storytelling prowess with extracts from her provocative, stereotype-busting book of the same name, the show has at its heart her own story of radical reinvention – taking her from meetings in boardrooms to treading the boards, thanks to a chance conversation with the late, great Joan Rivers. A funny show about a deadly serious subject,

All the Open Piano slots are for both days are now taken! In the next day or so, I will be writing to those of you who have successfully registered with details of your booked slot. I am now opening a reserve list (same link) and if you wish to register, please do. In the past two years, we have had to ask standby players to replace booked players, so you could still have a chance.

Over 25% of the tickets for the Rêverie concert with Sir Simon Russell Beale and Lucy Parham have sold. As this is a reserved seat performance at Ludlow Assembly Rooms, we would urge you to book sooner rather than later as the choice of seats will obviously diminish.

🎭 The life and music of the great Claude Debussy told and played by Sir Simon Russell Beale and Lucy Parham respectively and then ‘Sounds of The Cinema’ with music from your family’s favourite films played by Katherine Rockhill.

🎹 And Open Piano is back - bigger than before. Two days of sessions for amateur pianists on the St Laurence Steinway - this time with professional headliners. Free to listen to, free to take part.

After the huge success of our third festival, we're already looking at 2026.

Before we get into detailed work with that - we'll definitely Pop-Up in November again.

Our November Pop-Up Piano festival brings you two very different but equally enticing evening shows!

And, now spread over two days (due to popular demand!), you can listen, free of charge, to some very talented amateurs playing the Steinway at St Laurence’s - with professional pianists now closing each day’s sessions with a bang !

More brilliant music to brighten up some wintry nights and days - all brought to you by the Ludlow Piano Festival team !
This is just a teaser to get you ready and ensure you don't do a silly like book something else in your diary.

We just need to sign a couple more bits of paper, Steve needs to do geekery on systems and we'll be ready to issue the full programme, open ticket sales and expressions of interest in Open Piano later this month.

𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦'𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘗𝘰𝘱-𝘜𝘱 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬

❗️Five days. Sixteen events. Three venues. Two Community Pianos. Sold out events. And an incredible 2200+ tickets sold....

What a fabulous five days of music making we have just enjoyed during the record-breaking third Ludlow Piano Festival.

The exquisite playing of the rising young star Alim Beisembayev, the powerful playing of the much-loved Peter Donohoe, the warmth and energy of Joanna MacGregor, the wit and precision of Tyler Hay, the beautiful and unusual programmes lovingly put together by Clare Hammond and Lana Bode and Jonathan Powell and the brilliance and promise of our young artist and masterclass pupils.

In addition, the bravery and laughter (and surprisingly excellent playing) of our celebrities (hosted by the delightfully quick-witted Cally Beaton) and the breathtaking silent movie morning, the hugely enjoyable jazz from Joe Thompson and the unforgettable Planets duet and the moving Wolf Hall and Satie shows and the inspirational Sheila Hancock interviewed by Alistair McGowan…

Will we ever match it?! (Yes.....)

And we loved hearing so many talented Ludlow residents and visitors playing our two community pianos, seeing people enjoying the town and its cafes, restaurants, delis and shops - all in the name of the Piano.

The feedback on social media, by email and in person has been incredible, We're not going to repeat it all here (after all, we're about pianos, not blowing our own trumpet 🤣) but clearly - we got it right. And we're delighted you were so pleased.

Thank you all for coming along. We can’t do it if you don’t.

📣 𝗪𝗲’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗽-𝗨𝗽 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 (including our ever popular Open Piano sessions on the Steinway in St. Laurence's Church) and then again next May with a full festival for 2026. ❤️ Superlative playing, popular classics and all with seemingly effortless and interesting chat. Tyler is truly unique - a crafted musician with the ability to really connect with an appreciative audience.
