Ludlow Piano Festival receives virtually no grant funding and, like many arts organisations, we find ourselves navigating an increasingly competitive and complex funding landscape. It is almost impossible for us to meet any of the various criteria laid down by the funders.

Fortunately, because we are run entirely by volunteer Directors, manage our own administration, and have no venue overheads of our own, our operating costs remain low. As a Community Interest Company, our aim is not to generate profit but simply to remain sustainable. Every pound we receive is reinvested into future LPF activities and events.

We are therefore extremely grateful to Ludlow Town Council for their recent grant, which helps support both our community piano project and the free schools’ concert that takes place during Festival week.

We’re also pleased to announce that we’ll soon be introducing a simple way for those who wish to make occasional donations to support our work.

Apart from an incredible lineup of professional pianists and celebs, we love providing the two 'street pianos' during LPF Week. One in the garden at St Laurence's Church and one in Castle Square. Anybody can stop off and just share the joy of piano.
