A modern take on a Victorian technique. ⚜️

Reinventing traditional techniques is something that we love to experiment with at The Lucas Studio.

We created an arrangement which can only be appreciated when looked down from above.

Lilac, pansies, ferns, hyacinths, carnations and euphorbia; all arranged in concentric circular layers as the Victorians taught us.

By looking back in history, we can find endless guidance on how to work creatively in a slow and considered way.

A beautiful moment of creative collaboration with , bringing the spirit of the South of France to life. 🍅

Jessica and Jimmy worked together organically, recreating the charm of a bustling French market - overflowing with the finest fresh produce, hand-crafted soaps, fragrant dried lavender, and vintage packets of herbs. The eclectic mix formed a vibrant, immersive experience, inviting guests to interact, celebrate, and indulge.

Together with their teams, they moved along the tables, piling them high with produce all bought from local markets. It was a wonderful moment of natural creativity that we will always cherish and look back on with love.

All English everything for the divine L&T 🌼

I loved their wedding. The feeling you get when you know you are making something that is exactly perfect for your bride, is so exciting. It’s the immense privilege we have of creating beauty and wonder for people who truly deserve it.

We festooned Blythburgh Church and with trees and flowers, hopps, apple branches and a million other things which made it a joy to create.

I remember stepping back from it all after lighting the candles and being so in awe of how gentle it looked despite the riot of colour and abundance of flora. It was so special.

2024 🪄

It’s hard to put how I feel about the last 12 months into words. Instagram at the moment is flooded with wonderful year highlights but as I’ve tried to put mine together nothing feels quite enough.

2024 WAS the highlight. I achieved what I set out to achieve with bells on.

I didn’t enjoy 2023 at all and I vowed 2024 would be different. It would be full of joyful creativity, wonderful humans, hard work that actually pays off, imagination for no reason and above all, I vowed that I would enjoy it.

Now I can’t say I’ve loved every single second. Running a business is tough, and I’ve somehow ended the year with 2, (Metre was a lovely surprise along the way. 🕯️) But despite the inevitable challenges, I have built a rock steady team around me who to quote one ‘use every available neurone’ to execute job after job, pushing ourselves, stepping so far out of our comfort zone each time yet creating pure magic a lot of which you’ll never see. 🧠

Having stepped away from social media over Christmas I have had some time to reflect and relax which has been a dream. 2024 has been fantastic and I’m really proud of myself, this is just the beginning and next year we take it to the next level.

Find me a bigger bow in London! We love her so much and her gorgeous lights. It was a joy to create this for with some very talented friends of ours. 🎀

We also created a wonderful archway over the entrance to and added bows all over the hotel, bar and restaurant and swathes of sumptuous red velvet all around the lobby, creating a gorgeously playful festive feel.

The most joyful collaboration with , dressing the Great Hall . We used an abundance of British flowers and foliage from and my garden.

Roses, foxgloves, sweet William, buttercups, honeysuckle, clematis, orlaya and other magical stems mingled together along the table, bringing Floras stunning patterns to life.

Huge thanks to for such wonderful imagery and for ever fabulous for bringing it all together.

Taking inspiration from the gardens of Versailles and Petit Trianon we created this installation using 300 plants above the famous Sloane Square awnings of to celebrate .

Clematis, roses, foxgloves, buxus and French Lavender ramble across this iconic resturant, pushing the boundaries of sustainable floristry and mechanics.

The Lucas Studio presents; The Greatest Wedding that Never Happened – Mary & Bert 🎠 The Banks family staff, had been polishing the silver for weeks. The garden had been emptied of red roses, Marys Favourite. Bert had been busy baking the cake, getting whipped cream everywhere. The 3000 daffodils, smiled at the dove as they said “I Do.” The ascended into the clouds for their wedding breakfast. The day was Practically Perfect in Every way.
