To challenge myself I downloaded the Weekly Top 40 songs and mixed them in sequential order. Other than a few seconds of each track before download, I had not heard most of these songs. I figured the best way to improve my skills would be to take a group of songs that I didn't know and songs that don't go together and attempt to mix them together then play it back and see how bad I am.

It's a 93 minute mix and overall, it has a lot of rough spots, but I don't think I would consider it terrible. I definitely start getting better about the hour mark once I got warmed up and started recognizing some of the songs. I'm hesitant to release it. 1) I know its bad, I'm not sure if I want to let the public hear something I know is bad. 2) Its long, I'm not sure if I can even release something on facebook that long (but I will have a youtube page soon) 3) might be some copyright issue... idk about that one.

Why would I release it? I listened to it. It's not unlistenable. But, I think I want to keep doing this every week and then you could see how/if I improve overtime and through practicing.

My first attempt at recording a smooth dj transition. It's not awful, but I am going to need to keep practicing. I look forward to continue learning and growing as a DJ in an effort to eventually provide some quality dance and fun party mixes!
