Scheduling events during the week doesn't happen a lot since we both have full-time jobs but it does happen. Generally day events are for a company lunch and that means I fly solo because between Steve and I he doesn't have the same flexibility I do to take time from work but behind the scenes he is making sure I have everything I need. Yesterday was one of those days.
We don't normally serve but it was necessary so I reached out to some friends and they showed up for me. Between Steve and my peeps it was a huge success. Everyone there loved the food and my team. I am so grateful for all of it.

And since we actually had a weekend off we decided to work lol. This time it was for ourselves and our guests. We had a little get together. Check out the pigcakes (cupcakes) thanks Aunt Teresa Cypher 😉
And I have to give a big shout out to Betty Robinson and Kevin they showed up to set up and came back to clean up. The party was a success and no one left hungry.

After our Three Rivers Harley event we had to divide and conquer. Steve headed his way to take care of a couple private parties and the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company with their annual picnic and I headed to the Lyndora Legion to cater for Riding For The Cure.
I'm pretty sure I melted 🫠 a little bit standing over that roaster cooking. Thank goodness for the FedEx employee volunteers to help me and a shout out to Stacy Daugherty and Christian Henry for assisting as well. They all did anything we asked and we are grateful.
The food turned out fantastic (I never doubted for a second 😉) and it was well worth all the work to hear so many people happy with their meal and throwing out the compliments.
Unfortunately, on my way there I got a call that there was a medical emergency that caused an accident and ended with a fatality and everyone was coming back early.
We from Pork U extend our deepest sympathy to Betty Campbell's family and send prayers for Doug's recovery.

This past Saturday was a long hot one. I have to make two posts. We started off our day at Three Rivers Harley-Davidson for their annual pig roast. I didn't get a lot of pics but here is how Petunia looked when we opened the roaster and how she looked when we were done. I hope everyone who stopped out enjoyed their pulled pork slider. 🐷

Today we also braved the heat so support the memory of this beautiful soul. Every year there is a golf outing in her honor. She was 35 with three babies and lost her life to cholangio carcinoma which is rare for women and for her age. Sometimes we golf sometimes we cook. Today it was all about the food for the people who support her memory and for the help her golf outing does for another family who is fighting a battle. What an incredible day of support all the way around.

We love to ride and love to support the community. Today we chose the less glamorous side of Corey's Curise. We worked cooking and shredding some phenomenal pork and bringing sides for lunch to the firefighters and 1st Responders Corey worked along side who were out doing their part to block traffic and secure the safety of those who got to ride today. It was an honor to serve in the way we did. Side note.....it was a little warm out. We both felt like them candy bars that melt from getting left in a hot car lol

Some pics from events over Memorial Day weekend. Started off with a graduation party helping out Just In Thyme Catering with a whole pig then one of our all time favorite block parties. We missed seeing Mindy Pail and Eddie Pail but the party was a success. We appreciate you.
